I think we'd fallen asleep soon after I entered his room. We didn't end up doing what I thought we would, maybe because I fell asleep before we could. His room was simple, just like I remembered his flat to be. I wonder what he did with all his furniture. When I woke up later that day, it was 10 o'clock, and Evan was curled up next to me with his head on my shoulder. He was wearing a loose white t shirt and his boxer briefs. I shook him slightly to wake him up.

"Evan, I'm sorry, I have to go to back to my dorm," Evan opened his eyes slowly and looked at me. He rubbed his eyes with his hands and sat up in the bed, reaching for his phone from his nightstand to check the time.

"Oh shit yeah, sorry we slept in. Fuck I got a huge headache," Evan got up and walked over to his set of drawers, where he pulled out a clean pair of sweat pants to put on.

I gathered my jacket and my shoes and we walked down the stairs and out the front of the house, no sign of Dana, Elliot or Curtis. We approached Evan's Jeep and I smiled at the memory.

"Still running is she?" I asked Evan as we sat on our respective sides of the car.

"Yeah, barely." He laughed and started up the car. I told him the address of the dormitories and he nodded his head, before pulling out an aspirin from his centre console.

"You want one?" He asked me, and I thanked him. He's brought a bottle of water with him and we both took a sip to swallow our aspirin.

"It was really good to see you again, I dont know what happened after last time and why we didn't stay in touch," Evan said as he reversed out of the driveway and onto the street.

"I guess I accepted it was a one night thing," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Yeah I guess at the time it was, but seeing you again made me realise it shouldn't have been," Evan kept his eyes on the road.

"This time we'll keep in touch?" I questioned and I saw a smile light up his face, "sounds good," he replied and passed me his phone to put my number in.

I placed his phone back onto the centre console and pressed my head against the window. To be honest, the last thing I wanted right now was to go to work. But I only worked 3 shifts a week because of my classes, and it allowed Dana and I to band together and buy something more than just instant noodles for dinner.

Evan parallel parked outside my dorm building and turned off his car.

"Thanks for the lift Evan, I'll see you again soon," I opened the door and got out of my side of the car and walked to his side. He opened his window and squinted at me against the sun.

"No worries, and hope I do," I waved at him and stepped back from the car. He closed his window and I watched as he drove off.

.

Work dragged on for forever. I kept checking my phone to see if I had a message from Evan but it never came. I finished at 8 and when I clocked off, I turned and accidentally bumped into my co-worker, Lucas.

"Oh shit I'm so sorry," I apologised and he stepped back and laughed.

"No don't worry about it it's cool, hey I wanted to ask, how's your assignment going? I'm so stuck on section 2," Lucas and I were doing the same course at college, and shared most of our classes together. He lived on campus with me too, it was like we shared almost every aspect of our lives. We'd only met this week, so we were still in an awkward phrase of friendship. I saw him on campus in a soccer uniform, and assumed he also played for the college's social soccer team.

"I'm going to be honest I haven't looked at it but when I do I'll send you a message," I laughed at my unpreparedness to answer his question. He shrugged his shoulders,
