(A/N) why do I get sudden inspiration at midnight? No one knows, also warning, gore/graphic stuff!

Y/N's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~
I felt cool air swallow me up, I shivered, opening my eyes.
What..? A.. A forest? How come it feels like I've been here before..
Crickets chirped and owls hooted as I wandered deeper into the ominous, dark thicket. My breath was visible even, what the hell was this? Did I ever even go to Hell? Had I been dreaming? Am I dreaming now?
I shook my head, now wasn't the time to let my mind buzz with thoughts. The silence was brought to an immediate stop. The silence disrupted by the sound of high-pitched, horrified, blood curling screams, however I couldn't help but feel that this scream sounded specific, like I'd heard it before...
This feeling of Deja vu crept through my mind, what about this felt so natural and familiar? I followed the screams. Then I heard it.
I heard a laugh, not any laugh, not any laugh of joy..
It was full of regret and accomplishment, guilt and pride, unsure of whether to feel happy or fearful.
It was my laugh, the night it all went down.
I peered through some bushes, gulping anxiously to see myself— which felt so unnatural — carving into the chest of them. The one who's life I ended that night, but did I regret it? I mean truly?..
I looked insane, digging deeper into their abdomen with the blood-stained hatchet. I just kept hitting and slashing and laughing. I felt scared of what I'd been in that moment.
I continued watching like a deer in headlights, when suddenly I knelt on a twig and my well.. Past self snapped their head to my direction, I held my breath and smacked my hands over my mouth, tears stinging my eyes as the sound of my own footsteps drew nearer.
"Y/N.." My past self said in a muffled voice, then it got louder, but still muffled.
The voice became lower, the words growing tinted by an accent. Sounded like...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Alastor?" I murmured, my eyes fluttered open. "Oh thank the blazes!.." Alastor sighed with a chuckle. "Why Y/N, you gave the crew quite the scare!" he said. I looked around, I was wrapped in a blanket that smelled like Carmel-apples, in a dimly lit room and laying on a couch. It looked similar to the main area of the boat..

OH FUCK IM STILL ON THE BOAT.

"Am.. Are we still on the boat!?" I said in a shaky tone, gripping the cushions. "Yes indeedy my dear! Everyone else is asleep, so I took it upon myself to keep an eye on you in case you woke up." Alastor sipped a cup of tea and settled it in the small saucer, making a clink sound. "I couldn't help but notice your unenthusiastic behavior once I walked away after informing you we'd be going the other day, and judging by the fact you hold on to everything like your afterlife depended on it, I could guess you aren't fond of boats.." he scratched his chin.

Damn, he got all that?

"So you were starin, 'ey?" I smirked smugly, Alastor glared at me, but the look wasn't as annoyed as I'd expected.

"Wait, so what happened?" I scratched my head, All I remember was Alastor's apology that I didn't understand very well. "Well, the boat stopped because of a minor issue but it's resolved now. You however hit your head and I brought you inside. If I do say so myself, I was the calmest.. Not concerned much at all really." He chuckled. "Okay, buddy.." I rolled my eyes and giggled.

"Mind telling me why you don't like boats?" Alastor crossed his legs, leaning back in his sit. I coughed, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'd preferably not." I said, looking down with a frown. "Don't frown, Y/N, smile! You know you are never fully dressed without one." He walked over, and sat down, keeping a foot between us.

"And you have a lovely smile." He murmured.

I perked up, surprised. "What was that?" I asked, sounding a bit hoarse. "Hm? Nothing! I didn't say anything." He chuckled quietly. "Did you just.. Say.. Compliment me?" I said, now I was interested. "No! You must be imagining things my dear Y/N!" Alastor stood up, turning his back as if trying to shield his face.

"Like hell I am! You totally just did!" I hummed, standing up and walking around to face him, as if forgetting I was on the boat. "Y/N I can promise you, I did no such thing!" He laughed, shielding his face with one hand and fanning the other, dismissing the idea like it was impossible for him to compliment me. "You fucking liar-" I was cut off by the boat stopping abruptly. AGAIN.

Me and Al fell back, he fell into the couch, and I.. Well I fell into him.

We looked around shocked, then to each other, our faces much too close than they should be. I felt heat rush to my face, I realized I was gripping onto his coat. My eyes widened as did Alastor's. I got up in a quick, flustered panic and Al looked frozen, still with a big smile, shaking his head before getting up and staring up so that I didn't see his face. I flopped down onto the coach and gripped onto the cushions again.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, he looked down at me and took a seat next to me. He cleared his throat. "Ahem.. Are you alright, Y/N?" Alastor asked, his voice was still upbeat. "Yeah, heh, thanks for asking.."

I yawned, stretching my arms and curling into a ball, wrapping the blanket around me and over my head. Alastor seemed alarmed and raised his eyebrows, looking down at me as my eyelids grew heavy and they closed. The last thing I heard before falling asleep was him sighing and mutter something.

Loving how this is turning out lol, how you guys are enjoying!

Anyway, I hope to see y'all in the next chapter, later lil hell raisers!
