The week went with Kazu and Marco talking and acting normal with each other. It was a new week and the energy had changed completely and drastically. It's now their free period, Kazu and Marco standing face to face, "What did you want to talk about?" Kazu asked. "Us" Marco replied, "Okay what's up?" she asked more concerns and scared. A million things went through her head. Was he gonna ask her back out? Was he going to say they couldn't be friends? What was he going to say?
"Well it's that we're broken up kazu and I don't really understand our relationship because to be honest I don't know if I can talk to you the same and I'm not looking for another break or anything like that" Marco said suddenly. "What do you mean break? I'm sorry I don't understand what you're trying to say" Kazu replied with her lip shaking, her playing with fingers filled with anxiety. "I feel as if since we're broken up we should cut ties. I'm moving away for months to longer. There's nothing for us anymore, Kazu." Marco said. "I see," Kazu said abruptly, "If that's what you want then that's fine." she added.
Marco looked at her for one last time and he left to his class. Kazu with her eyes full of tears trying not to let them fall. She made her way to her classes and she was scrolling on her phone to see Marco unfriended her snapchat, Marco no longer followed her Tiktok, Imessage texts turned green, and even unfriended on discord.
Her face went pale, she felt sick to her stomach but she couldn't cry. She couldn't feel a thing but emptiness. She walked out her class and threw up in the bathroom, she was hurting, but couldn't feel a single thing. The color she saw around her faded away, it was monotone again. The world fell completely silent. She dropped to the bathroom floor and just cried, she was hyperventilating, no one could hear her. She was alone and she was dying, well that's how she felt. Niki walked into the bathroom after 5 minutes of her frozen hyperventilating on the ground, she was having a panic attack, she told Dom to come pick her up and he did. She checked out of school and went home, her eyes bloodshot, her mind empty, she lost apart of her and her chance went from one and a million, to a flat zero.
The day came around, Marco was moving and everyone was with him as he boarded his plane along with his family, everyone but his sister, she was an adult and had a place of her own. Marco hadn't looked at Kazu, no goodbye, no nothing, as they all said their goodbyes. Those door closed and she felt her life was over, she cried, everyone comforting her but she just drove back home. Alone.
She promised herself, she would marry him, she would never move on, she'd wait for him to come back no matter how long it took. He was hers and she was his and she wasn't ready to let go of that not so true reality.
