The couples were together for a while and the group was moving smoothly, for most of them anyway. Kazu and Marco had gotten into a fight a decent three days ago and hadn't been talking since. Everyone around them sensed the animosity in the air but neither of them wanted to talk about it. Marco was hurting, he bottled up the emotions, so Kazu was unaware of what exactly was the problem was but, in her heart, and head she hadn't done anything wrong. Kazu would usually be the first person to apologize but in this one specifically she couldn't bring herself too. Neither could Marco, until one day Kazu finally apologized for what happened. For context, Kazu was friends with someone he didn't like, and she knew why he didn't like him, but he found them out together on Marco and Kazu's anniversary. In all fairness, Marco was out of town and couldn't talk to Kazu during his trip and he decided to surprise her on his way back, but they were at The Boba Cafe where he usually knew to find her.

Marco walking into the place setting his eyes on her with him then leaving, she ran after him, but he had nothing really to say to her but a few words, "Have fun, night" as he proceeded to get into his car. Kazu not knowing what to say to him, she just said, "Happy anniversary, goodnight" he rolled his eyes replying once again, "Yea, have fun with Mikey. Night"

A few days had gone by of them not talking, Kazu couldn't take it anymore and broke the ice at school during their free period. "Also, I'm sorry for talking to Mikey that night, I just had a really fucked up day that day and wanted literally anyone to talk too and when he walked in, I was just desperate, and just wanted to say I did block him back" Marco looked at her for a second then the bell rang, "I can't talk right now I have to go" he walked off without another word. In the situation she didn't look in his point of view as she tends to do and felt like she wasn't wrong until she did, she felt terrible once she took the time to look at it. She felt as though he was just ignoring her.

When it was time for their last class that they usually walk together too but haven't been; she caught up to him again, she hit him with a million apologies over anything she could've apologized for, she did. Marco said it was okay and thanked her for explaining everything, but Kazu knew something wasn't right. In their last class Kazu wanted to talk about the problem some more to understand Marco's point of view better but by the time she sat down the others were already conversating with each other and the topic was changed. She still wanted to but didn't want to nag him on it if he said everything was okay.

They left school after the last bell, but he had left before her and was pretty quiet once they'd got home and call one another. It was obvious something was wrong, she asked if everything was fine, and he just said he was drained, and they'd talk later. She said okay and they hung up the call.
