She opened it, it was Marco. "Hey Kazu, I'm sorry to randomly show up here, but I heard some things and I wanted to clear up some things. I absolutely do not hate you in any way at all, I don't like Niki romantically either. I don't talk to her, and I have for a while, I promise you Kazu. I don't hate you, dislike you, or think badly of you in any way at all, I don't regret any of the time we've spent together. I enjoyed every last bit." he said to her, "Thanks for saying that.. I know that reply sucks, I'm just thinking, but I appreciate it." the curly haired girl replied.
"I know you're thinking about a lot, but no need to apologize for it and listen Kazu, I'm sorry for cutting ties with you. Would you like to be friends again? I completely understand if you need time to decide about it." He asked, "I'd like that, thank you." she replied. Since that day they spoke, obviously not the same as they did, the petals slowed down but weren't gone. She was able to hide it for a while but there wasn't very much time before something happened as a result of having Hanahaki.
More time went by, Kazu found herself clinging to Marco, even after all he said, it seemed to her to all be bullshit. He didn't want to be her friend, he just didn't want her to hurt because of the things he heard from other. In her head, he wanted nothing to do with her and not blaming her for it, the conversations they had were dry, one sided, and pointless.
After some time, he simply just stopped replying. Ghosted her completely, she didn't understand but in her eyes it was a bunch of pretty little lies.
