"Can't start a rebellion without members, now can we?"
"So, are we just falling back on our previous plan for this?" Tom asks and Edd nods. "We're going to have to. We can't be plastering rebellion posters around London if there might be secret soldiers lurking around." Tom nods and Matt pouts. "But where are we even going to start? There's so many people in London and we don't know who is a secret soldier or not..." Edd gives Matt a mischievous smirk, tapping his temple with his finger. "Lucky for us, Paul and Patryk were nice enough to share some important intel with us." He hums, making Tom and Matt's jaws drop. "Wait so...?" "That's right! We have the names and faces of every single Red Army soldier that is currently residing in London. Undercover or off-duty." Tom lets out a loud laugh, smacking the steering wheel as he does so. "Man, this is great! Those two are really some ballsy guys, huh?" He parks the car and exits, locking it once Matt and Edd are out. Edd's phone dings and he stops the duo. "Eduardo wants to meet with us in his apartment...says he has some new recruits." Tom pats Edd on the back and walks ahead. "Well, we better get going then."
"Edd and company. Glad you could make it." Mark hums as he answers the door. "Hey Mark...thank you and Eduardo for having us...I heard there are some new recruits?" Mark nods, opening the door more. "Yes, some are friends of ours. The others are someone our friends may have known. I hope that's alright." Edd smiles and pats Mark's back. "The more the merrier. Thank you." He walks with Matt and Tom into the living room, where five faces along with Eduardo look up. "Oh, Edd, you made it." He gestures to the people sitting around the room. "This is all we could gather today. Though, Laura here said she can find more people if need be." A woman with blonde hair tied into a messy bun waves at Edd. "Hey there!" Tom peeks from around Edd, frowning. "Uh...who's the kid?" He asks, pointing to the boy sitting next to Laura. "Oh! This is my son, Michael." The boy waves a little. "He just turned fifteen."
Edd shakes his head, looking a little conflicted. "Sorry ma'am, but it doesn't feel right to let such a young man join the rebellion. We're being a little more strict than the British military by only accepting those eighteen and older. We're going to have to turn him down." Michael frowns as Laura sits up straight. "Please let him join! He's very smart and I know he'll do a good job! And he's been looking forward to this as much as I have been..." She takes Michael's hand. "If it means he can join, what if I take on recruitment or supply gathering? I'm sure you need someone in those categories, yes?" Edd chews on his lip, looking up at Eduardo then at Tom and Matt. "Let's...discuss this at a later time...for now, your membership is pending." He looks at another girl, who was tapping away on her phone with a worried look on her face. She brushes some lavender colored hair behind her ear and Eduardo clears his throat. "Huh? O-Oh...I'm sorry...I'm Natalie and I'm 25..." She says softly. "She ran into me while I was out the other day...turns out her father is a veteran and she's been very in tune with the military." Natalie nods softly. "Yeah...my dad and his army buddies were talking about this Red Army entity and an upcoming invasion. I was terrified and when I ran into Eduardo and we started to talk, I told him about wanting to do something...anything. So...here I am."
Edd nods. "I see." He looks back at Laura and Michael before sighing. "...I will grant Michael temporary membership. Like a trial run." Michael perks up. "But, if he can't keep up with our future duties or can't handle what we do, then he will be let go. Am I understood?" Laura smiles and Michael grins. "Yes of course! Thank you sir!" Edd nods, then feels his face flush in embarrassment at the last two recruits. "Oh...hello Kim...Katya..." The couple waves at Edd. "Katya, are you still taking graphic design classes?" She smiles, nodding. "Yes, I'm about to graduate." Edd nods, smiling. "Good. Can you start making discreet flyers for the rebellion? We'll be handing them to new recruits as an outline of what to expect as a member of...of..." Edd soon goes quiet, frowning as he rubs his chin. "What's...happening here?" He asks and Edd groans. "I'm so dumb...I haven't even come up with a name for this!" Everyone falls silent before Kim raises her hand. "What about 'Red Rebellion?' That sounds like a cool name." Katya nods, looking at her partner. "Or 'Red Resistance.'" Edd snaps, pointing at Katya. "I like that one." She grins and Edd poses proudly. "Yeah, yeah! 'Red Resistance!' It has a lovely ring to it. What do you all think?" Everyone mutters agreements.
"Now that we have an agreed upon name, we need to think of what the flyer should have on it. Something that will definitely let our members know what it's about...but outside eyes won't understand it. Not to the extent of knowing it's for a rebellion." Katya purses her lips, thinking. Eduardo soon nudges Edd. "For that plan to work, we will have to make a secret language for the rebellion AND the traitors. We'll have to talk to Tord about this later." Edd whines, but nods. "Fine. We'll wait on the flyers." Laura raises her hand a bit. "I have someone who would be more than happy to join the rebellion...can I invite him over? He's really sweet and I think this will be good for him." Eduardo nods, not giving Edd time to speak. "Go ahead. We need more members anyways. Aside from us and the founders," He gestures to Edd, Matt, and Tom. "You five are the only ones so far." Laura grins, nods, then begins to tap away on her phone. "Mona was right. This is going by real smoothly. You're doing a great job, Edd." Tom hums and makes the brunette whine again. "Tom, I'm barely doing anything!" He crosses his arms and huffs. "I don't feel like a leader..." Laura hops up, smiling wide.
"Okay! He's on his way!"
