"I'm glad, my love."

"Is everyone comfy? I'm about to put the movie in!" Edd smiles as everyone gets settled. Edd had already claimed the chair, leaving the couch to Tom, Mona, and Tord. Matt had seated himself on the floor beside Edd. Mona smiles as she snuggles up to Tord, cuddling more under the blanket thrown over them. Tord smiles, holding her by her waist as he watches Edd slip the DVD into the player. "Oh man, I finally got Return of the Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell 4! It was so in demand that I had to pre-order this thing!" Mona tilts her head, looking up at her fiancée. "Insane...zombie pirates? What's that?" Edd stops abruptly, just about in his chair. "You don't know what the Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell series is?" As Mona shakes her head, she could swear that Edd lost the color in his face. His gaze snaps to Tord. "I can't believe you never let Mona watch this, Tord! We HAVE to start from the first movie!" The green clad male dives back to the DVD player, ejecting the current movie and scrambling to find the first installment. "I think you broke him, Mona." Tom snickers, watching Edd find the movie in a panic. Mona giggles softly, leaning more into Tord. "The series must be good if Edd is this desperate to find it." "Good?! It's the best film ever!!" After a panic-driven, ten minute search, Edd finally finds the first Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell.

The group of friends make it through half of the third movie before Matt was down for the count and Tom had retired to his room an hour ago. Mona's eyes grew heavier by the second, head bobbing as she tried to keep herself awake. Tord notices this, smiling softly. "Min kjære, why don't we set up a little cot and rest? It's already midnight." Mona whines and squirms in Tord's grip. "But Edd was so excited about this series...I have to finish it..." Edd smiles as he lifts up Matt. The poor ginger man didn't even flinch. "It's okay, Mona. We can finish the movie tomorrow. You were dozing off a lot, so I think it's good you get some rest." "See? Even Edd agrees. It's okay, darling." Mona whines again, but leans more into Tord. "Fine...but you need to promise we'll finish the series." Edd nods to Mona, turning to the staircase and going up them to take Matt to bed. As Tord sets up the cot, Mona lets out a loud yawn. "I really am enjoying this trip, Tord...thank you for bringing me." She smiles. "You never told me your friends were so fun." Tord pauses briefly upon hearing Mona say 'friends.' He then smiles at her. "Yeah...they are, aren't they?"

Mona wakes with a start and in a cold sweat. She looks over, the soft moonlight peeking through the blinds illuminating Tord's face. He was sleeping soundly, undisturbed by Mona's movements. She looks at her arm, wincing as she gently squeezes the slightly bruised skin. He really did a number on her. But...she was endangering whatever this mission was about by helping Tom. That's what Tord said anyway...and this was Tord's mission...she probably deserved a bit of discipline. A soft thump in the kitchen causes Mona to jump in surprise. She looks around, struggling to see anyone nearby. She then decides to softly slide off the cot and go investigate. As she gets closer, she sees the light of the fridge. "...Hello?" She whispers.

Tom jolts in surprise, nearly dropping the bottle of Smirnoff he was holding. "Oh...it's just you, Mona." He stands straight before taking a swig from the bottle. "What are you doing up? It's like four in the morning." Mona shrugs softly, a little nervous to even speak to Tom. "I don't know...I just kinda woke up." She looks back at Tord, who was still snoring ever so slightly. "Well, I shouldn't keep you up then." Tom goes to leave before Mona quickly stops him. "Hey...can I...ask you a quick question?" "I don't see why not." She purses her lips, glancing back at Tord to make sure he was still sleeping. "...Why did you ask me those questions? When I was patching you up?" Tom pauses, looking back at Mona. "Well...it just seemed odd that Tord got a fiancée. He was never known to be the, uh, how do I put this?" Tom thinks for a moment. "He was never known to be the settling down type. A player, if you will." Mona purses her lips. "A...player?" Tom sighs. "Do you want to talk in my room?"

Mona sits beside Tom as he downs some of his Smirnoff. "I hope you don't think I'm trying to break you two up. I haven't known you long, but you seem like a nice woman and I just don't want whatever could happen to...blindside you." Mona doesn't speak as Tom continues. "Not long after Tord moved out, we stayed in brief contact. We being Edd and Matt. It was a new one every week it seemed. He was like that in high school too. Always seemed to attract but never seemed to keep them." Tom shakes his head and drinks some more. Mona simply stares at her hands that were folded neatly in her lap. "...I appreciate your concern, Tom...but I don't think I have anything to worry about." She smiles softly to herself. "Before I got settled into his home, I was just a farm girl who stayed home to do house chores while my mother worked and my brothers went to school. I tended to the farm, our main source of income. I was nothing special. My father wasn't rich, and we still aren't. We sold eggs from hens and livestock for meat or dairy. The most my father ever had was the money he borrowed from Tord." Tom let what Mona told him soak in, humming a bit as he sits his Smirnoff aside. "I see. I'm sorry for assuming." He pauses, then turns to Mona. "Well, since you asked me a question, do you mind if I ask you one?" Mona nods softly. "It's only fair." "It's about our conversation. When you were patching me up." She tilts her head. "What about it?" "You mentioned that Tord was a leader in Lillehammer..."

"What did you mean by that?"
