"Okay! He's on his way!"

"No! I don't care anymore!" Alex screams, smacking his sister's hand off his shoulder. "I'm done trying to compromise with this...this hag!" "Alex please, you don't have to do this..." He turns, glaring at his sister. "Yes I do, Jeong-hee. I've been putting up with this shit for years. I'm done taking care of this bitch. You can do it yourself or put her in a home, I don't care." Ignoring the cries of Jeong-hee, Alex exits the house and begins walking down the street. He couldn't believe that stupid woman! Always trying to ruin his life all because of—! Ding. Alex checks his phone lazily, leaning against the side of a shop as he looks over the message. It was from his friend, Laura.

Hey Alex! Look, you've been talking about

a change of pace sooooo I found something

for you! Here's the address for the apartment complex,

I'll be waiting out front. Hope you swing by!

Alex stares at the message for a moment, more concerned about the address being sent than anything. Sure, Laura was his friend, but he hadn't known her that long so random addresses weren't normal between the two. Still...anything was better than going back home. He types the address into his maps app.

Sounds good. I got into another fight

with Jeong-hee and Mi-kyung. Looks like

the place isn't too far from me

so I'll be there in like, 10 minutes.

Shoving his phone back into his pocket, Alex continues his way along in the direction of the apartment complex. Making it there, he spots Laura standing at the entrance. He jogs over as his friend greets him. "Alex! So glad you made it!" "Yeah...anyway, why are you here?" Laura smiles at him. "That thing I found for you? It's here!" Alex stares at Laura for a moment, a little sketched out. "I see...well let's go in, yeah?"

The number 129 stares ominously at Alex and he and Laura stand in front of an apartment. "Here's the place! Trust me, I think this is right up your alley!" Laura knocks and Alex's thoughts run wild. 'Up my alley? This feels like she's about to introduce me to her plug!' Alex smiles to himself. 'Actually, that doesn't sound too bad...she wouldn't be wrong anyway...' The door opens and snaps Alex out of his thoughts. A tall man in a green hoodie stares down at them for a moment before smiling. "Oh hi Laura! Welcome back! Is this the friend you were talking about?" "Yeah! His name is Alex!" She turns to her friend, jerking on his arm a bit. "C'mon, let's go inside!" Alex complies, allowing himself to be pulled into the apartment.

"So Alex." The man in the green hoodie started, smiling. "Has Laura told you what we do?" Alex glances at his friend, then back at the man. "Absolutely not." He says and the man laughs. "You're blunt, I like that." He keeps his smile as he wraps his arms on the shoulders of two other men, one in blue with no eyes and one in purple. "I'm Edd! One of the three founders of the Red Resistance! This is Tom," He shakes the man in blue. "And this is Matt! The other two founders." Alex raises an eyebrow. "Red...Resistance?" Laura blushes in embarrassment as Tom glares at her. "We asked your friend to give you the details, but it seems she got a little too excited." He shrugs off Edd's arm and approaches Alex. "You're free to leave now if you wish. But if you stay, you're in. There's no backing out due to this being...sensitive information." Alex stares into Tom's void-like eyes for a moment before blinking. "This isn't...a cartel is it? Because I mean it was a little shady with the whole randomly sending me an address thing—" The one to laugh this time was a man with a green button up. "What the hell kind of shows you been watchin', kid?" Alex seethes. "I'm not a kid." Edd huffs a bit and glares at the man. "What Eduardo is trying to say is...no. This isn't a cartel." He looks back at Alex, the serious expression catching the other male off-guard. "We're a rebellion. That's all you get to know right now unless you agree to join us. If not, you're free to leave this apartment."

Alex thought about it for a moment. On one hand, he would get out of having to take care of that old hag Mi-kyung. But on the other hand, Jeong-hee will be left alone. But if there was a rebellion being formed, there was definitely something about to happen that wasn't good. Alex looks up at Edd, eyes determined. "Well...since I'm getting hints that something is on the horizon...I accept. I don't have much to lose in life, but I want to protect my sister at all costs." Edd gives him a grin and holds his hand out. "Welcome to the rebellion, soldier. It's a pleasure to have you here." Alex shakes Edd's hand before shoving his hands in his pockets. "So...can I finally know what's going on?"

Laura stands, putting her hands on Alex's shoulders. She wants him to sit. "You might want to take a seat for this one..." He gives her a confused look but sits anyway. He notes how comfy the loveseat was. "Where to start...?" Edd mumbles and Mark chuckles.

"How about the beginning?"
