Actually, my brain wouldn't let me think about anything else to distract myself and keep busy instead of losing my mind because I'm home alone-
He is afraid of Spamton. I mean, he can handle his insanity to a degree. But he'll get to a point where he'll become fed up with his scams, schemes, and garbage sales.
If Spamton somehow gets on Mettaton's internal drive, he will cause massive lag and bring countless viruses, computer bugs, and malware. Mettaton always has to keep renewing his anti-virus and ad block programs to keep him out.
I mean, it makes sense for a robot to fear a short, little gremlin of a salesman who lives in the alleyways of Cyber City, especially if said salesman represents spam emails, telemarketing, and corrupted ads.
