George
What an incredible ride!
I've been mated for nearly two months now. It's December and I'm getting ready for my 18th birthday.
Let me tell you something: my dad was not amused by the Luna Effect 2.0, not at all.
He grilled aunt Sarah about the repercussions of that day and he inquired about Liam's health state. He went as far as talking to his mom about it privately. Though he was genuinely concerned for my mate's health after he went to the hospital on the day of the heat.
Yeah, not kidding. He took it really seriously. Even though this time no one called to complain to him about it. Actually, most of the students were happy about the outcome.
But that had more to do with a possibility to score than anything else. But I'm still hoping no one gets an unmated pregnancy from this. Fingers crossed.
After that day, Liam and I have been catching up on our mating, making up for the lost time. And it's been a blast, honestly.
Even though he still drives my brother and his girlfriend on Saturdays, we've been to plenty dates thus far. Maybe I'm not as inventive as my little brother, but we sure had a lot of fun.
By the way, Miriam got struck by heat too a little while ago. She and Jeff are still nowhere near ready to complete anything. But I see the toll it's taking on her and I can certainly relate.
I'm also on rut medicine.
But I didn't attack anyone, fortunately. My dad took my temperature and it was dangerously close to strike. Have you ever heard that saying: better safe than sorry?
Yeah... exactly. He's taking no chances.
Not that I blame him, though. My reputation can't afford to take another hit. It's good that I'm reconciled with my mate now. Because for a moment there, I thought I'd never get rid of the cheating scandal.
Trust me, this is not a concept I was raised on. My dads fight a lot, yeah. But they love a lot too. It's amazing I don't have any more siblings.🤢
"Good morning, daddy. Morning, dad. Is everything ready for my party?" - I asked my dad as I made my way to our kitchen, while we get ready for breakfast. Charlie is right beside me.
"Good morning, son. It is, but there's still a week. Calm down. It's not like you're waiting to discover who your mate is." - He replied without much enthusiasm.
"Thanks dad, excuse me for getting excited about my own birthday party." - I rolled my eyes.
"You have every right to be excited, son. Your dad is just sulking because he's getting old." - Daddy interjected and his mate gasped.
"What? Who're you calling old?" - Dad yelled, wide-eyed in 'shock'.
Charlie and I laughed at this exchange.
"It's not his fault if you're going to retire before 40." - Daddy argued in an amused tone.
"Oh I'm not retiring! I'm gonna be his state trustee. I'm not letting him guard my money just because he'll become Alpha." - Dad announced, causing a shock wave to hit all of us.
"Don't you have an entire office downtown with people handling your money? I've been mated to you for 19 years and still don't know the extent of your wealth. I've never seen you pay a credit card bill in front of me!" - Daddy frowned in confusion.
"Yes, I do. And after George ascends I'm gonna work there, managing the state. By the way, it's not me who pays for my bills. I have people at the office for that." - He said with a pleased tone.
