George
My mate is sleeping next to me.
I've been dreaming about this for such a long time and I can't believe it finally happened.
Though to be honest, in my dreams we're sleeping after having completed the bond. But I'll take what I can get, even if we've literally only slept together.
Funny thing about the mate bond: it really is a link between mates. I feel connected to him in more ways than I previously thought.
Yesterday at the party, I was minding my own business talking to some friends when I was hit by this wave of fear irradiating me.
It was so powerful that my body temperature changed instantly and I knew right away my mate was in danger, of sorts.
At first, I had no idea of what could possibly be causing him to fear this much in the middle of my birthday party. But immediately I seek him out, worried for whatever it is.
No wonder he was afraid. None other than his assailant was talking to him. Damn daddy, why would you invite him here in the first place?
He's not even from an allied pack!
Anyway, aside from that we had a lovely evening together and I'm so thankful for him to be there by my side. It really marked a special occasion for me. And I couldn't be happier.
"Good morning, mate. Did you sleep well?" - I asked him as soon as he opened his eyes in the morning.
"I slept better than ever." - He replied enthusiastically. I smiled at him in return.
"Good. I'm glad you did." - I spoke with a pleased grin. With the pheromones, I slept better than ever as well. It's a sweet comfort to sleep next to one's mate and I relished in it.
"I'm glad you you have this spare room, I wouldn't want to put your brother off." - He said, getting up from the bed into a sitting position.
"Yeah, I understand it. But I'm glad you asked me to come sleep here. It was the best gift I received all night." - I swooned and kissed him on the cheek.
He giggled at this.
"Oh that wasn't the gift. That is yet to come." - He smiled mischievously and I gasped.
"Can't hardly wait!" - I blushed under his gaze.
We got up, changed clothes, washed our faces, brushed our teeth and got downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning, Liam. I thrust you slept well?" - Dad asked him, who bowed his head.
"Good morning, Alpha. I had the best sleep to he honest. Thanks for letting me crash here." - He replied with a content grin.
Charlie and I greet our dads and Liam greets daddy too.
"You're always welcomed at our house, Liam. My son's mate is like a third son to me." - Dad spoke, making my heart flutter with emotion.
"Thank you, sir. I really appreciate it. It's not lost on me all the good things you've done for my mom and I. You're such a great Alpha. I don't know how George is gonna follow in your footsteps." - He commented, causing a huge smile to appear on my dad's face.
Daddy looked pleased too. So did my brother.
"You're too nice, Liam. But my son will do great, I'm sure. Especially with someone like you by his side to keep him grounded." - Dad commented, causing Liam to sigh in contentment.
Daddy served us some hot pancakes, but Liam stuck with just cereal. More for me, I guess.
Afterwards, I drove us to stop by his room at the pack house to collect some clothes for our little trip.
