Liam
I'm shocked, to be honest.
Not at how expertly Alpha Stonehold maneuvered the situation with the Crescent Moon pack, but at Alpha Collins for his decision to NOT attack us and to send his son on a diplomatic mission instead.
I really didn't see this coming.
Though I always knew him to be a decent and honorable man. But grief is a beast I wouldn't wish on anyone. And I can't even imagine grieving over a child, hopefully I won't ever have to.
Respect, sir. Much respect for you, who is every bit decent as I thought you were. You never deserved that individual as your son. Hopefully Jed will do better. Jeb and Jed... I know, right? Can you tell we're country?
Now that we can finally breathe again, things are falling into place as they should. School is almost over, graduation is upon us and soon enough my mate's ascension ceremony.
Can you believe I'm gonna be Luna of the Stonehold pack? Me, the last of the Forsythe. This really still freaks me out a little, not gonna lie.
But I am excited about it. Plus, I couldn't have asked for a more warm welcome into this pack. I have been treated fairly by everyone from the students to the Alpha.
Sure, there's been some tension every now and then. But that happens everywhere, not only here. I'm just glad to have survived this year, to be honest. And yes, I do mean that literally.
Now, I have to acknowledge the greatest blessing in disguise that occurred after being forced to relocate in the Stonehold pack.
Though it's not thanksgiving, I have many things to be grateful for this past 8 months. But the most surprising of them all is definitely Luna Tyler Burke.
Despite the initial resistance after I wrongfully rejected his son, - what the hell was I thinking, by the way - we've been spending so much time together during Luna training and he has been absolutely the best possible mentor to me.
That's without taking into consideration all the time he spent building up my confidence back after you know who abducted me.
I love my mom with all my heart and she is and will always be the best for me. But if ever there was a person I could consider a "second" father, it's him.
Talk about a Goddess sent...🥰
And now that pack war is no longer in the horizon - thank heaven - we're all just eager to start our lives after graduation. Though some people are a little jittery about it.
"Happy last day of school, everyone. On behalf of the entire faculty, I wish you all a glorious summer. For those of you who are graduating, it's been an honor having you in our school. And for those who aren't, don't forget your summer reading list. See you next Fall." - Principal Burke's voice is heard through the school speaker system.
"I just wanna echo what she said and tell you it's been an honor serving as your teacher for the last four years. I know we had some ups and downs. But considering we just dodged another pack war, I'm just glad for it to be over. I'm too young to be a widow." - Mrs. Stewart snickered, awkwardly.
The students in the classroom laughed at her remarks, but the sense of relief is amply shared by everyone. Myself included.
"Thanks for everything, Mrs. S." - The students replied, feeling appreciative.
There're a lot of goodbyes, people tearing up, boyfriend and girlfriends hugging, yearbooks being signed. It's a proper send off for everyone, specially the senior class.
