How the Change has Timed

Flashback

Hey so... this is my first time doing this. I hope you enjoy it. Please note that some parts in the story are from the Empires SMP. If you want to know exactly what happened, please watch the series.

Flashback:

Scott Major:

Age- 6

Kingdom- Rivendell

Siblings- 1 older brother who left a year ago

Origin- An elf with owl wings

"Sir Scott, your mother has requested to see you downstairs."

Scott looked up from his toys to see his houseworker, Lumi, standing next to him. Lumi was wearing a light blue dress and an apron. She also always wore a snowflake hairpin in her lavender colored hair, that was put up in a bun today.

"Okay!" Scott said happily, getting up.

Scott ran downstairs, Lumi walking behind him.

"Hi mom!" He embraced his mom into a tight hug.

"Hi sweetie. Thank you, Lumi, for bringing Scott downstairs." Lumi bowed and walked over to the foot of the stairs.

"Scott, I have some big news for you."

"What's that?"

His mom stepped aside to make room for his dad.

"Hi dad!" Scott said, smiling.

His dad smiled softly back and walked up to him.

"Son, we have found you a wife."

Scott blinked in surprise, but said nothing.

"You will be marrying Katherine Elizabeth, princess of House Blossom."

His dad was full of pride, and since Scott didn't want to let him down, he nodded and smiled.

"When will it-"

His dad cut him off, "you two will be hanging out more now before you wedding in 12 years."

That's a long time. Scott thought.

His dad grabbed Scott's shoulders and bent down, so they were face to face.

"Make me proud, Scott. Ever since your brother..."

His mom sniffed.

"Just, don't fail us."

Scott nodded again and his dad let go of his shoulders.

"You will be meeting Katherine later today. Lumi, will you please help Scott clean his room? You will come back downstairs in two hours to greet Katherine when she arrives."

Lumi bowed and led Scott back upstairs.

When they entered Scott's room, he sighed.

"Are you excited to meet Katherine?" Lumi asked.

Scott shrugged.

"I heard she's very pretty. She might just be the one you're looking for."

"The one I'm looking for?"

"You know, your soulmate. The one that's made for you. She might just be that person."

"But what if she isn't?"

"Well... that could very well happen, but you could always be friends with her."

Scott stayed silent and looked out the window. Who's my soulmate? He thought.

"Are you going to help me clean your toys, or just stare out the window?"

"Sorry." He said.

Two Hours Later...

"Welcome to Rivendell!" Scott's father boasted.

His parents started talking excitedly to Katherine's parents.

"Hi!" A girl with long, black hair, a purple crown that had blue jewels in it, a white shirt, and a long purple skirt that had white flowers on it, walked up to Scott. She also had purple flowers decorating her hair and fairy wings.

"Hello, I am Scott Major." Scott bowed.

"I'm Katherine Elizabeth." She bowed in return.

"Maybe next time Scott could come to our kingdom, we're not used to the cold." Katherine's mom said.

"That would be great! Scott's never really been outside of Rivendell, so it would be nice to have him visit other kingdoms." Scott's dad said.

"You've never been outside your kingdom?!" Katherine asked, shocked.

Scott shook his head.

"My parents didn't allow me since a year ago. They say it's dangerous."

"What happened a year ago?"

He was silent. Should I tell her about my brother? I mean, even I don't know everything about it.

"My parents don't tell me the reasons behind everything either." Katherine said.

"Yeah, my parents just tell me not to go outside." Scott lied.

"You would like House Blossom. There's as much flowers as there is snow here."

Lumi suddenly appeared behind Scott.

"Mistress Katherine, it's an honor to meet you." Lumi bowed.

"No need to bow. Erica, my houseworker, doesn't need to bow to me either."

"Would you like a coat for the cold?"

"Yes, please."

Lumi led Scott and Katherine up to his room and after giving Katherine a coat, Lumi left to make some hot cocoa.

"So did you hear about how we have to get married?" Katherine asked.

"Yeah."

"To be honest, I kind of just want to be friends." Scott said.

Katherine smiled and said, "I'm glad. I wish we didn't have to marry each other."

Scott and Katherine jumped when Lumi entered with a tray of three cups of hot cocoa.

She handed Katherine and Scott a cup and sat down with them.

"So what are you lot talking about?" Lumi asked, blowing her hot cocoa.

"We think we would be better as friends than as lovers."

Katherine said, looking nervous.

Lumi smiled, "That's okay! Just don't let your parents know, they won't be too happy about that. You might just want to keep hanging out, but as best friends."

Scott and Katherine nodded and continued talking and laughing with Lumi.
