I don't know what I'd tell you if you asked me for the truthThe look in your eyes whenever you glance at me stuns me into silence
and if it weren't for your friendly hugs and compliments,
I would've let the words roll over my lips and blow them to lifeTo make them into a reality I never dared to face
A reality where we're together, smiling and laughing while we keep each other warmInstead I wake up each morning in the coldness of my room, the wind biting at my skin while I feel around and am met with the presence of loneliness
Once again, I'd remain silent if you asked me for the truth
Because instead of shattering what we have
I'd rather hold you close to my heart in our cocoon of friendship
