the next month went smoothly, i had talked to dad about the wedding, he was very excited, he told me that him and penny had told amelia, although i had only seen her a handful of times since then.
bradley had settled on a place just ten minuets away from me and dad, it was a nice, small town home, a two floor, two bedroom, two bathroom
with a nice deck in the back, he told me he was excited to finally have an actual place of his own that he could stay in permanently
we had talked about moving in together but i told him i wanted just a bit more time, although i was basically already there for most of my time, nothing was official
i had discussed the possible teaching position at top gun with dad, he told me he would be excited to teach me how to fly again, i told him i would be too, but i would would have to hit the books again before i actually got into a plane,
today marked three months of me and brad being together, which honestly wasn't a big deal, but boy was he excited
he came bounding down the stairs "babe! be ready by 5 we're going to dinner!" he said
i rolled my eyes
"bradley we do not have to celebrate everything, id be fine to just stay home and hang out" i said
i had been sitting on the couch reading my book
"oh come on, would you be happier if we invited hangman" he said
for some reason bradley had a new jealousy surrounding jake, he had been my best friend for the last three years, we were close but both of them knew bradley came first
i sighed "bradley bradsha, i don't know where this new bout of jealousy came from" i said standing up and walking over to him
"i love you, me and jake are just friends, you know that" i tested my hands on his shoulders
he let us head fall releasing a grave sigh
"sometimes i just feel like he knows you better that i do" he spoke
it was partly true, bradley left when i was 14, i met jake when i was 16, he got to know me as i went through high school, and as i really grew up
but bradley was there for so many things that ge wasn't
"i love you bradley. not him, i promise one day your gonna know all the secrets and jake won't know anything" i said
he looked up at me and gave me a weak smile
"you mean the word to me you know that" he said culling my face with his hand
"you are my world" i responded
he smiled at me before taking my hand and leading me outside
"where are we going? i thought we were doing dinner in an hour?" i said
"change of plans" he said as he opened the car door for me
"go on" he said, gesturing to the car
i gave him a confused look before getting in
we drove for about ten minuets until we reached our destination
"the hard deck?" i said as he parked
"trust me" he got out of the car and opens my door, when i got out he took my hand once again and lead me inside
when we got in i was met with pheonix and bob
both of which i said hi too before bradley lead me over to the bar
"hey! what are you two doing here" i turned to see penny
"i wanted to bring her to my favorite place" he said
"you realize i worked here for about two years, right?" i asked him
"yes, but i wanted to show you my special skills" he cracked his knuckles as he sat down at the piano bench and began to play
"great balls of fire"
of course, what else would he play
i laughed as he played on and on giving me exaggerated looks as he sang at me
at the end everyone cheered
"well?" he asked me
"good, although i've heard you okay it before"
not only had i heard him play about four months ago exactly where we were
but he had also played it when he was at home, dad had told me that him brad and goose would sing it all the time, just before i was born
"just like old times"
i turned to see dad standing with penny
"hi dad" i said as i walked over to him "how's the old timer doing?"
"i'm not that old" he rolled his eyes at me
"what's with by he eye rolling, is that i mitchell thing?" penny asked
"personally i think it's better to just not question them" bradley said walking up next to me
me and dad gave each other a look before bursting out into laughter, i got a lot of my weird quirks from him
"fawkes" bob yelled, i walked over to him and pheonix
"hey guys how are you?" i asked them
"good, we heard about your new teaching opportunity" pheonix said
"yeah. i'll be at top gun teaching pilots" i said
"that's sounds fun" bob said
"but i thought you don't fly?" pheonix asked
"anymore" bob corrected her
"well, i do now, hopefully i don't crash my plane again" i turned over my shoulder to see dad, penny and bradley all laughing
"don't worry, you've got quite the teacher" bob said
i smiled at him before standing up to walk back over to my family
as i stood up, my vision went black, this happened a lot when i stood up to fast, but soon after i started feeling a little nauseous
"hey you doing alright?" dad asked me
"yeah just a little tired" i didn't want to worry him i turned to bradley giving him an 'im not feeling the best' look
"hey i think it's time we get going, Y/N you ready" he asked me
"yeah sure" i hugged both dad and penny before we headed out
once we both got into the car brad turned to me
"you feeling okay" he put his hand on my forehead
"yeah i'm fine, just suddenly feeling sick" i said
he removed his hand "well you don't have a fever so that's good" he started the car
"i'll make a doctors appointment for tomorrow" i leaned my head back
"does this mean i have to take you home?" bradley groaned
"i dont wanna get you sick" i said
as we pulled up to my house i jumped out of the car
bradley followed
"what are you doing?" i asked him
"oh come on you think i'm not going to make sure my girl is all tucked in and  comfy?" he said
i rolled my eyes at him and we walked inside
