Serena's P.O.V

It's been a few hours since Calem left and I'm starting to get worried. I'm pacing back and forth until maybe I started getting sleepy and it's only 5 something. I just gave up and went to Calem's room and fell asleep.

I was woken up by something wet on my cheek. I slightly opened my eyes and saw Calem crying with his head in his hands. I lifted my hand and wiped his tears away while he just froze, looking anywhere but me.

"What's wrong Calem?" I asked gently, placing my hand on his shoulder, but Calem just shook his head.

"It's nothing." He said as he wiped the last remaining tears as if he never cried.

I felt my eyes closing but I forced them open. Calem looked at me and sighed.

"I'll let you sleep here while I sleep in the guest room." He said as he walked out.

Before I fell asleep, I looked out the window, saw the stars twinkle and the moon shining brightly then fell asleep.

I woke up by the sound of thunder and rain hitting the roof. I tried getting back to sleep but the thunder is loud and, since my fear, I'm scared as hell.

I checked my phone and saw my mom had called me and a text from her saying it'll be the last I sleep at a friends house without warning her. I sighed in relief but jumped as the thunder kept getting louder. I saw the time and it was 12:50.

Holy shit I never sleep that long, I thought as I turned my phone off. The thunder won't stop so I quietly stepped out of the room and went to the guest room. I opened the door quietly and saw Calem asleep, shirtless might I add. I blushed and covered my mouth when thunder boomed again but louder and I guess I didn't cover fast enough since I let out a scream and woke up Calem.

He rubbed his eyes, yawning, and asked "Serena, is everything okay?" I was about to answer until thunder boomed and I screamed a little.

"Scared of thunder?" He chuckled.

"What, no." But of course the thunder made me scream and made Calem chuckle again.

"Um, do you mind if I could sleep with you tonight?" I asked, nervously.

"Sure, come on." He answered as he moved over to make some room for me. I didn't hesitate to jump in and cover my head with the pillow. I heard Calem laugh but he covered us up with the blanket. I turned to look at Calem and found him looking back at me.

"Why are you afraid of thunder?" He asked, still looking at me.

"It's just loud and scary." I answered as I turned my whole body looking at the ceiling.

"Okay, well let's get some sleep." Calem said as he got ready to sleep.

"Okay, well um, goodnight." I said as I closed my eyes, turning so my back is facing him.

Before I fell asleep, though, I felt an arm go around my waist pulling me to something hard. I smiled a little as I felt a pair of lips kiss my cheek.

"Goodnight Serena."
