Serena's P.O.V

I woke up with a pounding headache and a small pain on my cheek. I opened my eyes and noticed I was in Calem's room again. I can't remember what happened, all I know is that I went to get some water and after that is all blurry. I got up but immediately laid back down since my head is hurting as hell.

"You're awake, I was starting to get worried." I heard a voice say by the door. I looked up and saw Calem next to the bed, kneeling. He put his hand on my uninjured cheek and stroked it. I looked at his eyes and saw worry, relief and guilt?

"How long was I asleep?" I asked, noticing it's dark outside.

"Only a few hours, I called your mom and told her what happened. At first, she yelled at me since I'm a guy, but after a while she calmed down she told me to take you home tomorrow and to not go to school until she knows you're alright." Calem explained, looking anywhere but me.

"Oh okay." I said, looking at the ceiling.

"Um, Serena, do you know anyone that, um, doesn't like you, or hates you?" Calem asked, looking at the floor.

"N-no, why would you ask?" I stuttered, hoping he wouldn't notice.

"No reason." Calem said as he continued looking away from me.

"Calem, what happened to your hand?" I asked, noticing he has cuts and bruises on them.

"It's nothing." He answered as he got up and put his hands behind his back.

I slowly got up, wincing from the pain, walked past Calem and walked over to the bathroom, looking for the first aid kit but I couldn't find it.

"Where's your first aid kit?" I asked, looking back at Calem.

"On the dresser." He mumbled, sitting down on the bed.

I looked and saw the first aid kit right there. I went and got the bandages and medicine and went over to Calem. I sat down next to him and gently grabbed his hands. It was quiet as I cleaned his wounds and put the bandages on.

After I was done, we didn't say anything, it was just pure silence.

Until we heard a loud bang.
