The bike ride was nothing more than boring. Your life before this might have been dangerous, but a small part of you was glad you had it because it wasn't BORING. April had her earbuds in, listening to something, her yellow jacket flapping in the wind. She always had her earbuds in on bike rides and you were pretty sure it was because she was listening to the latest Breaking News.
While it was somewhat annoying that she only cared about the news, you had to admire your sister though, because Mr. Rivetti was right, she was persistent and confident. Your sister was perhaps the most confident person you had ever known, and you had known plenty back where you came from. She always spoke her mind. You didn't know how she did it, you were as far away from confident as possible, fearful even, when you left behind your old life. Yet, April seems like she could do that and it would be 'No Biggie.'
You knew your sister wasn't fearless either though, you had heard Aprils screams when she noticed a spider in a bedroom. You had had to go in there and kill it for her. This made you wonder if people could even be fearless, and if there were people who are. You had to admit that you were jealous of them.
The SCREECH! of Aprils bike tires stopped your train of thought as you hurriedly squeezed the handle for the brake. It slowed you down, but you still hit Aprils bike and sent her moving forward slightly with a JOLT!
"Watch where you're going sis!" April yelled at you as she got off her bike, pulling it onto a little sidewalk. "Sorry! I was just thinking! I would have talked to you but SOMEBODY had their headphones plugged in." You grinned as you hauled your bike onto the sidewalk and crouched down beside April.
She was frantically pulling up Skype and typing away. "Whaaaat are you doing?" You asked as you peered over her shoulder. "Rivetti..." April grumbled as she continued typing.
Your eyes opened wide, "How did you-?! You got his number?!" April nodded. "Okay... that's impressive but a little weird." April ignored you as she hit the send button. "Please pick up... pick up, pick up..." She whispered hopefully. You glanced at your sister, and one word shot through your head. Persistent. You chuckled a bit, when the call was declined and your sister eagerly hit the 'call again' button.

"I just wanted to follow up Mr. Rivetti." April said when he FINALLY answered. "Are you kidding me? How did you get my number?" Mr. Rivetti yelled angrily as soon as April picked up the phone.
"That's what I saiddddd." You smirked in a sing-song voice. April just ignored you however and continued talking. "If I could just ask you one more question-"
Mr. Rivetti sighed angrily, "Listen, I already told you everything about this crime! Okay, how about this, if you want to know anything else, you go back down to the docks and you see my guy Stan. He'll tell you anything else you need to know, okay? And hey, do me a favor, and lose my number."
April nodded her head, hanging up the phone and getting back on her bike, this time with no earbuds in. "You aren't going to lose that number are you?" You teased your sister. She grinned at you from over her shoulder, "No I'm not! Now come on, it would be better if we got there before dark!" You nodded and started peddling faster towards the docks.

The sun began to set as you and April approached the docks, you were making small talk, genuinely happy to be hanging with your sister even if it meant she'd be dragging you around the docks.
BANG! THUD! You whipped your head around towards the noises and immediately stopped your bike, hopping off not even caring about any possible damage, you ran to the gate with April in tow.
