"Eric Sacks was just so inspiring..." Your sister said as she stared out the window. "I know this is a story that actually matters."
You had been quiet for some time now, that threat had certainly gotten to you even if you weren't crying anymore.
"The superhero one?" Vern joked, "That's a good idea I should chase that down."
You kept quiet staring out the window and Vern glanced back at you, "What? No sassy comment Ms. Asthma Attack?"
You looked at him blankly. "Y/N?" April asked. "What's been going on with you, ever since the Doc-" But April was cut off by multiple people, including Vern, honking their horns.
You watched your sisters head whip up as she leaned out the window to look at something, Vern tried to lean over the steering wheel as well.
Your sister fumbled with the unlock button and stumbled out the door.
'No No No! April come on!' You thought as you snapped out of the trance like state you had been in all day. After that threat from Sacks, you COULD NOT let her out of your sights.
You knew your sister wouldn't come back if you yelled, so you just whipped off your seat belt and hurriedly rushed out of the van.
"Hey! Girls! Get back here!" Vern yelled from the car. "Hey! APRIL! Y/N!" You ignored him as you ran down the street, jumping over a fire hydrant and maneuvering around people as you went. You quickly caught up to April since you were more skilled at this, and you followed her down the stairs to a subway station.
People were screaming and running, a gunshot was heard from not too far away, and as soon as it was mostly just you and April you grabbed her arm and whisper yelled, "Think maybe we SHOULDN'T GO where people are screaming?!"
April shot you a stern glare that said she clearly wasn't giving up, "I'm going down there whether you're coming or not." She snapped. You stared at her and watched as she ran and hid behind a turnstile. You gulped and followed, you had a feeling, no you KNEW the Foot was behind this, but your sister was your priority right now.
You hesitantly ran over to April as she lifted herself up and over the turnstile. You jumped over it yourself and dragged April behind a column as a flash of black armor caught your eye.
You and her stared at each other in silence, before you decided it was safe and started to walk out from behind the column.
"AH-!" Aprils muffled scream caught your attention as you turned around to see a Foot Soldier dragging your sister away. You went to attack, but were quickly grabbed by another Foot Soldier.
Fear flashed through your mind. You were going to die if they recognized you, and they'd kill your sister if they saw she was with you. You figured the best course of action was hiding, which you'd been doing for a while, so you elbowed the man in the guts only to quickly pull your hood over your face before being grabbed again. You didn't care, as long as they didn't know it was you.
The Foot soldiers pushed you and your sister roughly past more columns, and that's when the train tracks came into view, and Karai.
"Shit." You breathed out. You didn't know why you were surprised, of course she was in charge, she was 3rd in Command, and Sacks and the Shredder would not be willing to risk making an appearance. The soldier pushed you forward roughly. "Keep moving!" He barked.
"Keep your hands where I can see them!" Karai yelled as more Foot Soldiers dragged in captives. There was screaming and grunts could be heard. You looked for your sister hoping it wasn't her screams. To your immense relief, you watched as a Foot Soldier shoved your sister onto the ground next to a cowering lady, you being shoved down next to her. Good God, she wasn't dead. You'd remember to yell at her about this later.
