The Sacks estate was gigantic to say the least, and even though Sacks was a horrible man, you had to admit it was gorgeous.
The estate was high up in the mountains, so there was still plenty of snow even though Spring was starting, the ground was coated with a thin blanket of it, and the trees were glistening from the sunlight reflected off the large windows of the castle-like house.
The car stopped just outside the gate, and Vern put it in park as he watched April unbuckle her seatbelt. "Thanks for the ride Vern!" April smiled as she opened the door, "You coming Y/N?"
You forced a cough, you had come up with a plan a few minutes ago, "Oh I'm uh- AHACK!" You yelled the last part to make it sound more cough-like, "I'm just gonna... ACHOO! Stay here... I'm uh... GACK! Not... Feeling so- uh- hot..." You pretending to sniffle as you wiped your nose with the sleeve of your hoodie.
April stared at you. "Uhm... okay then..." She slammed the door and left, leaving you and Vern alone, which was a sacrifice you were willing to make.
You and Vern sat in silence as April walked towards the gate, before he finally spoke up, "Yeah... nothing better than dropping off a pretty girl at a rich guys house!" Vern grumbled to himself, you laughed and he turned back to face you.
"Oh uh- didn't realize... forgot that you-" He then sighed, and simply turned some music on, hoping to cover up what he just said.
You didn't really care now though, you watched as the gates to the estate opened, letting your sister in. Now you were regretting letting April go in there by yourself.
"UGH! WHAT DO I DO?! I CAN'T EVEN MAKE ONE DECISION WITHOUT FUCKING REGRETTING IT!"
April knocked on the door, and Sacks came out of the door greeting her. Vern grumbled some more at this, "He's not even good looking..."
You ignored him as you tried desperately to think of a plan.
'I could always just... sneak around the house and peer through the windows... YEAH! BINGO! WHOS A GENIUS? I AM!" You grinned and turned to Vern.
"Uh- I'm gonna- ACHOO! Take a walk, yknow, maybe it will help with the- GACK! Sickness?" Vern gave you you a cocky looking face before replying, "Wouldn't the snow, and y'know, the cold make your little cough worse?" He was smiling all smugly and you only glared at him.
"SHUT UP FENWICK! MY SICKNESS IS- uh- SPECIAL! Yeah!" You then angrily opened the door, huffing as you walked away from the car.
Vern laughed as he clicked a button to shut the door, he thought you were absolutely ridiculous...

"Okay... so... just have to jump the gate... yeah." You shivered, pulling your hoodie closer to your trembling body. You had walked around to a part of the gate out of Verns sight, and you were now looking for a way to get over the tall steel spikes.
You wrapped your hands around a freezing cold bar, gripping it tightly so you wouldn't fall off. Grunting, you pulled yourself up and wedged your foot between two of the bars, then you moved one hand up followed by the other, pulling yourself up again. You did this on repeat until you grabbed the bar on the top and leapt over the fence, landing on the ground with a light THUD! Before rolling to absorb the impact.
You quickly ran to the edge of the house, peering through a window to look for your sister. "Damn it April..." You muttered, you couldn't see your sister.
You moved back a bit to see how many more windows you needed to check. "Fuck." You mumbled.
