*Two Months Ago*
"Lucian, you need to wake up."
I heard L's voice through my computer and almost was frightened. I had not heard it beep. I opened my eyes, but something was strange.
I...couldn't move.
I blinked, some couple times. I couldn't speak either.
"I can tell from the camera your eyes are open, Lucian, you need to get up." He says somewhat impatiently.
"I can't!" My mind replies indignantly, "What's going on...how can I let him know I can't..." My mind suddenly grows sharp.
I can feel my breathing get more shallow.
"Lucian...Lucian!" Lawliet's voice slowly turns from irritated to erratic, a small shuffle in the microphone being heard, "Lucian, if you are suffering from sleep paralysis, try to let me know now. Do something, anything..."
I close my eyes tightly.
"No, no, Lucian...!"
I hear the microphone shut off as the feed goes down. I begin to feel myself again, but I still feel off. Dizzy. Unable to concentrate.
I made such a mistake...
"Lucian!" Lawliet opens the door to my room and quickly bends down to me. I blink twice.
"It was never this bad..." He waves his hand in front of my face, and I make sure to follow it, "Okay...come on, Lucian-!" His gaze becomes determined as he presses a pressure point on my neck.
My teeth instantly clamp shut with a loud crack, as I groan and arch my back. Lawliet quickly lets go as I roll to my side.
"I couldn't..." I manage.
"I know." He says, and when I look at him, his eyes are staring down at the ground in a puzzle. They flicker, and he looks at me.
"Lucian." He says with some authority, "Your eyes...you did something didn't you." He walks next to me and crouches down, grasping my long sleeve and pulling it back.
All down both my arms, patches over patches of the Ridlin imbued medication stimulants are covering my skin. Lawliet's eyes go wide, "You didn't..."
I see my own reflection somewhere in his dark eyes...
My whiteness in my eyes is completely gone. They are so red...
"Lucian..." Lawliet stands up, his hair covering his expression.
"I...I didn't..." I say shakily. I feel nervous...tense...awake.
"What you just did could have killed you." I see his hands form into right fists, and I back away.
"You are to never do that again!" His foot lashes out to attempt to hit my head, but I duck quickly as I roll aside, force palming my open hands into his exposed ankle.
He falls onto the ground near me, but quickly smacks his foot into my temple with his fall. I let out a strangled grunt as I am knocked aside, and I can feel his heel on my neck once again.
"What...are you...doing...?!" I choke out, "St-stop! You're hurting me...!" I place my hands around his ankle and squeeze, but I am growing weaker by the second.
"I know what I'm doing." He says too calmly as his foot shifts. A wave of heat goes through me.
"Stop...it..." I manage, and I feel sweat drip off of my neck, "Lawliet...stop..."
"Three more seconds." He says, "Calm down Lucian."
I gag, gripping his ankle as hard as I can as I feel myself become almost drenched with sweat. And then the pressure is gone.
I pant slowly, placing a hand to my neck as I glare my red eyes up at him.
"What the heck was that...?!?" My voice cracks pitifully, "You could've killed me if you slipped, impudent, son of a gun...!" I firm my hand to my neck, my mind not thinking quite clearly.
"You would have died." He says easily, and I blink up at him, "I pressed a pressure point on your neck to force your body to sweat out the toxin level of Ridlin you had imbibed in your body." He closes his eyes, briefly, before continuing lowly, "Never do that again, Lucian."
I sigh, my breath still shaky and my body confused on how exactly to feel. Awake, yet exhausted.
"I didn't know you disliked yourself that much..." He says, crouching on a bed that is never used, his thumb absently pressing against his lower lip in thought.
"I don't understand...Lawliet, I hate narcolepsy, but I don't necessarily hate..." I say, but he raises a hand.
"Don't play ignorance." He stands, his gaze firm yet sympathetic, "You aren't idiotic enough to not know the effect of that much Ridlin in your body, narcoleptic or not." He walks to the door, past me,
"You will be on suicide watch cameras from now on, under the reference that you are a Kira suspect to any viewer."
I sigh, closing my eyes.
"Just remember I chose you Lucian." He says, turning a bit where his dark eyes can see me.
"And I knew you had narcolepsy."
