Chapter 32

Jung Jae's POV

It's been a week since Jung Jae's been in the hospital. He still hates the fact that he has to spend his birthday in the hospital and just wishes that he was out of the hospital to go back to living his life free of Giselle.

"Well, happy birthday to me." Jung Jae muttered out.

The nurse walked in.

"Mr. Lee, I have some good news and great news." The nurse announced.

"Give me the good news first." Jung Jae spoke.

"The good news is that you have some visitors." The nurse announced.

"That's cool." Jung Jae replied nonchalantly.

"The great news is that your treatment has been paid so we can do the treatment and the blood transfusion." The nurse announced in a cheerful voice.

Jung Jae's eyes grew wide after hearing that.

"W-what!? Already!?" Jung Jae asked.

"I know right? Isn't that great?" The nurse asked.

"Y-yeah, that's awesome!" Jung Jae exclaimed as he laughed.

The minute the nurse stepped out, you all came in with balloons and a cake.

"Yn, you did it! Thank you!" Jung Jae thanked. "You paid off the treatment!"

You looked at him confused.

"Huh? I didn't pay for your treatment, I was almost there with it." You explained.

Jung Jae chuckled.

"C'mon, I know you're messing with me." Jung Jae laughed out. "Anyway, I'm happy I'm gonna be outta here momentarily, so I might as well celebrate my birthday as my last day in the hospital."

"You do realize that you still have to stay a few days for the treatment and blood transfusion, right?" Hae-soo asked.

"Oh." Jung Jae replied.

Anupam chuckled.

"However, be happy to know that you're gonna get out of here by the time it's all over." Anupam stated.

Jung Jae looked at him with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, and I'm also happy to see all of you guys here on my birthday." Jung Jae declared as he pulled Yoo-mi and Maggie into a hug.

"Alright, alright, enough of that sentimental shit." Maggie chuckled out. "Gonna make a bitch cry."

After you all sung happy birthday and ate some cake, it was time to go.

Yn's POV

We all said our goodbyes to Jung Jae as we walked out.

"Bye guys, and thanks again Yn for what you did." Jung Jae thanked me. "Thank you for paying half of my treatment."

But...I didn't pay for the treatment.

"Yn, you a real one for paying." Maggie stated as we walked out of the hospital.

"I didn't pay for it." I stated.

"Alright, stop joking around with us." Ji-cheol chuckled out.

"No, seriously I didn't." I claimed.

Everyone knew that I was being serious, then we all looked at each other confused.

"If you didn't pay for his treatment, then who did?" Yoo-mi asked.

"I didn't do it." Anupam denied.

"I didn't either." Hae-soo piped in. "I only volunteered for the blood transfusion."
