Chapter 57

Yn's POV

As the gunshot went off in the room, my eyes were shut with me finally accepting my fate.

I opened my eyes to expect a bullet wound on my body.

However, there wasn't a single bullet hole located on my body.

I looked over at Dong Wook, who looked fine as well, but he had a very shocked look on his face.

I followed his eyes, and honestly...I wish I didn't once I saw what was right in front of me, Dong Wook, and Si An.

"ANUPAM!!!" I screamed as I looked to see Anupam's body on the floor with a bullet hole in the head.

It was an indirect headshot.

Si An was now scream crying at the sight of a corpse in front of him.

I watched as blood began to pour out of Anupam's head and then...

Something inside of me snapped.

"Kill her....kill her...kill her...kill her." Anger whispered into my ear.

I screamed as I tackled In-na to the ground.

Yoo-mi and Maggie weren't far behind as they joined in as well.

We kicked

Scratched

Bit

Punched

Anything that caused any form of physical damage.

"YOU KILLED HIM! YOU FUCKING KILLED HIM!" I screamed out.

Ji-cheol, Jung Jae, and Hae-soo all went over to Anupam's body and Hae-soo knelt down and began to cry. Jung Jae pulled out his phone to dial 911.

"DIE FUCKING DIE!!!" Yoo-mi screamed out.

I'm pretty sure you all are wondering what had happened...well, here you go.

Anupam had just arrived at the location and saw the brawl in action. He got out of his van and went to the side door of the hotel. He watched as Si An ran up towards me crying then Dong Wook did the same. He saw In-na who aimed the gun at the two of us and that was when he ran in and jumped in front of us the minute the trigger was pulled.

The bullet hits Anupam in the head, killing him instantly.

Police arrived on scene.

"Thanks for showing up Officer Shelby." Maggie thanked.

"So, this is the kidnapper?" Officer Shelby asked as she looked at In-na, who I'm honestly surprised and pissed that is still breathing yet severely injured.

Paramedics came and saw Anupam on the floor as cops came in to take In-na away.

I was so shaken up by all this that I just collapsed next to Anupam's corpse and cried.

"Anupam! Don't leave us! Don't leave us we need you!" I cried out.

Dong Wook was sobbing as well as he tried to comfort Si An, who was still crying his little heart out.

I was hoping that this would all just be one bad nightmare...

However it's not...

This is the cold, and inevitable, reality.

The paramedics came to take Anupam's body away.

I grabbed his hand to pull him back.

"Don't take him! Anupam please don't leave us!" I cried out.

Ji-cheol separated me from Anupam's cold dead hand as he hugged me tight.

I sobbed uncontrollably into Ji-cheol's chest.

When we got to the hospital, we all were just devastated.

The doctor came in with the most sorrowful look on his face.

"I'm sorry, but we can't save your friend." The doctor announced.

"Damn...just damn." Common Sense sighed out.

"This is just a whole entire river of tears." Sadness stated.

"Anupam..." Love began.

After the expected bad news...I began to think;

We may have saved Dong Wook's nephew, but we lost the glue that held us all together.

Maggie's POV

Maggie sat in the back of the police car, trying her hardest to contain her tears. Officer Shelby looks at her through the rearview mirror then sighed.

When Maggie returned to the jailhouse, Karma saw her and ran up to her.

"Maggie! I-"

"Please...not now." Maggie croaked out.

Karma looked to see Razor Blade, Scarlet Letter, Tex, and Big T all following behind her with the same expressions on their faces.

Karma thought that this is anything, but good.

Ha Jun's POV

When Ha Jun got home, he went straight to his room and cried.

Ho-yeon popped her head in and see him sobbing.

"Ha Jun, what happened?" Ho-yeon asked.

"He's gone!" Ha Jun cried.

"Si An died!?" Ho-yeon screamed out.

"No, Anupam did!" Ha Jun yelled out. "He jumped in front of them when that bitch tried to shoot them!"

Ho-yeon felt sick to her stomach as she went to the bathroom to go throw up.

Ha Jun couldn't help but cry and cry until his throat goes dry.

"Life is so cruel." Ha Jun thought.

Dong Wook's POV

When me and Dong Wook returned back to your apartment, Dong Wook was cradling you as you continued to bawl. Seong Hee got Si An and went home, but Si An was pretty traumatized from that event.

"Anupam, Anupam, Anupam." You muffled out in his chest.

Dong Wook felt pretty helpless in trying to calm you down so he set you down on the bed and pulled you towards him, cuddling you in the process.

Your cat, Gi-gi, hopped on the bed and saw you in complete distress. She curled up in between you and Dong Wook as she began to lick away the tears that were sliding down your face.

While Dong Wook was relieved that his nephew is still alive, he couldn't help but feel heartbroken at you and the loss of your best friend.

"Kitten, I am so sorry." Dong Wook mumbled out as Gi-gi rubbed your face against hers. 

"Why did he do that!?" You cried out.

Dong Wook cupped your face as he pecked your forehead. You went back to crying into his chest as he began to rub your back.

"Just let it all out baby, let it all out." Dong Wook mumbled out.

It was a just a hell of a rough day for everyone.

Dong Wook wished he could reverse this for the sake of you.

He wished he could've just let In-na kill him so she wouldn't had attempted to kill you.

But, he for damn sure wished that he shouldn't have married her from the very start.

When it was workday, Dong Wook looked to see you in your most depressed state of mind ever then sighed. You got up and walked to get something, which prompted him to go over to your desk. He picked up a photo frame of you, Anupam, and the others at the Halloween party then set it back down when you came back.

You looked up at Dong Wook as he just placed his chin on the top of your head.

"Things will become better, I promise." Dong Wook spoke out.
