IT WAS NOW 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE GAME, Eleanor had looked toward the baseball field, letting out a long breath before slowly walking over, feeling exhausted from running over. "Ellie!" She heard, looking over to the bleachers to see Gwen, sitting next to the long haired boy.
"Hey," Eleanor nodded her head at the two before walking up the stairs and quickly hugging Gwen, before moving to sit next to Robin. "Hey Robby," Eleanor grinned, grabbing his chin and kissing his cheek. "I thought I told you to quit calling me that." Robin gave her a pointed look, before smiling a bit and pecking her forehead.
"Yeah, but... when have I ever listened to you?" Eleanor let out a chuckle, watching Robin roll his eyes and look towards the crowd. The two different baseball teams came running out in a crowd, all waving towards the supporters on the bleachers.
________
"C'mon Finn! You got this!" Eleanor cheered, clapping her hands together with a big smile on her face. It was the last hit to determine if Finn's team won... he's so close to striking the other baseball player. "Shit." Robin groans, watching Finn's face drop from a distance.
Many people from the crowd groan and start packing up their items, getting ready to leave, "Let's go see how Finn's doing." Eleanor says, grabbing Robin's hand and dragging him towards the baseball field to see Finney talking to the other baseball teams star player, Bruce Yamada.
Once Bruce was done talking to Finney, he runs towards his teammates, being cheered on by the group. "That was weird." Eleanor mumbles following Robin onto the baseball field, just as Eleanor passes the opposing team, she's called over by Bruce. "Hey Eleanor!" He grins, looking over to Robin, who stood next to Eleanor.
"Hey Bruce, you did amazing out there!" Eleanor congratulated with a small smile, "Go talk to Finn, I'll be over in a bit." Eleanor looks up at Robin, receiving a small nod, looking over at Bruce with a small glare before walking towards Finney.
"How've you been?" Eleanor asks, looking up at the raven haired boy, "I've been good, just have been missing your aunt's Blueberry Pie." Bruce laughed to himself, "You're welcome at the Café anytime!" Eleanor chuckled. "I'll be working next week, you can come in and get your pie." Eleanor joked, "Sure, see you around, Eleanor." Bruce smiled before walking off with a wave.
"See you later," Eleanor waved back, before turning to walk towards Finney, Robin, and Gwen. "Hey guys!" Eleanor grinned, they all give her a weird look. Eleanor feels her smile falter, "W...What?" Eleanor laughed, nervously looking at the 3.
"You sure like talking to Yamada, over there." Robin mumbled with a certain tone, "Huh? We were just catching up, that's all." Eleanor gave him a confused looking, her eyebrows furrowed, analyzing the boys angry face. "Yeah...'catching up,' is the term used to flirt now?" Robin gave a fake laugh, looking over at Eleanor.
"You don't understand, Rob--
"No. You don't understand, Eleanor. We set up this fake dating shit for you, because we care about you, but that isn't a big deal since... y'know, you're deciding to blow your own cover and flirt with that asshole." Gwen snapped, walking away, quickly shoving Eleanor with her shoulder as she walked past.
"Oh, god. He's not an asshole! And, I'm sorry... but when did you guys have the right to choose who I talk to? He's just a friend! I don't know how much I have to repeat that, because it's kind of-- no, really obvious that I like you, Robin. But if you don't want to believe that, and make up assumptions, then fine. I'm done." Eleanor shook her head as she walked away, leaving the 3 speechless and all standing there, in the middle of the baseball field.
