"YOU KNOW MY DAD WILL NEVER BELIEVE YOU, RIGHT?" Angel questioned Peter at school the next morning as they were waiting by their lockers. "Why are you going to see him anyway?" She asked and he averted his gaze for a split second before looking back up at the girl.

"Just... asking him questions about lizards because of our recent infestation in the city. Following a hunch that's all." He said, trying to avoid the fact that he thinks her father is the lizard terrorising New York.

"And you're going to do that during first period? When we have class?" She asks him and he looks at her with hope in his eyes and a cheesy smile on his face. Angel groans and bangs her head on her locker door slightly.

"Have I mentioned how beautiful you look today?" Peter said nonchalantly. As if he didn't have an agenda.

"Fine. I'll cover for you. But you better tell me anything you find out and bring me some coffee." She says before sighing and looking back into his deep, chocolate eyes.

"You are an angel, Angel." Peter smiles and she laughs sarcastically and nudges him slightly before he grabs her hand and tugs her towards him where he catches her lips in a soft and sweet kiss.

They were interrupted when the bell rang and Angel pulled away before patting him on the cheek. "You better get going, Parker, before the teachers catch you ditching." She says before walking away towards their class and that was when she heard his voice over the clammer of students in the hallway.

"Why would they, when I have you covering for me?" His words were shouted over the large flow of students, and Angel laughed with her back towards his as they walked in opposite directions.

Angel walked into her class and sat in her usual seat next to Gwen.

The teacher was going through the register and when she came to Peter's name she was met with silence.

"Peter Parker?" She asked again looking towards his empty seat.

"Uh, he had to help his Aunt with something. Family issues. He'll be in later." She said quietly, gaining a thankful and sort of sad smile from the teacher. She was probably thinking it was something to do with his uncle. Oh how wrong she was.

"Oh okay." She said before continuing with the class.

Angel could feel a piercing gaze coming from her right and she turned her head to meet the questioning glare coming from Gwen.

Knowing that if Angel looked in her eyes any longer, Gwen would be able to tell that she was keeping something from her. So she turned back to her notebook to start writing what the teacher was writing on the board.

Through the whole class Angel could feel Gwen keep glancing at her and so when then bell rang, Angel was dashing out the door in a hurry, hoping Gwen wouldn't catch her, but her luck wasn't great.
