Why didnt germany surrender?

We all know japan in ww2 had been known to never surrender they were all about honor from the unit to the government but they accepted surrender so lightly there wasn't even an invasion of the Japanese home island but were not talking about japan. We're talking about Germany *cue erika* if there's anything we know about Germany it's that they had high morale during the first part of the war taking out the French and bombing the uk many of times but that morale went down when they were getting pushed back on two fronts the western and the eastern so why didn't they surrender well to put it short they didn't surrender cause hitler didn't want to end up like Mussolini they even try to make a peace deal cause well they pissed everyone off so if I had to say why Germany I didn't surrender I think the Italians and Allies had something to do with it.
