Focused on herself and her own thoughts, Chaeyoung still sat patiently on the barstool, waiting for her best friend to return from the depths of the large, messy crowd.

She had both of her hands wrapped around her glass, a soft tinkling sound coming from Chaeyoung's fingers occasionally tapping the glass.

Her gaze was directed downward, at her still rather full drink, and she could have lost herself in her own thoughts as she unconsciously moved her lips along to the song's lyrics and swiveled her head left and right to the melody.

But before Chaeyoung could really be completely drawn into her bored thoughts, a new noise that could be heard next to the deafening music jerked her back to reality.

Next to her, to her right, another chair was pulled out and another girl took place on it.

Of course, when someone stranger sits down just a few centimeters next to you, it's normal for your curious gaze to fall on that person, but it seemed like Chaeyoung looked at this brown-haired girl a little longer than she originally wanted to.

Chaeyoung doesn't know exactly what it was about the stranger's face that captivated her, whether it was the sweet cheeks, the deep, brown color of her eyes, or the perfect, sharply drawn eyeliner that portrayed the fact that the brunette was definitely not someone shy and reserved, but there was something about this stranger that aroused Chaeyoung's interest more than she wanted to admit.

But before her eyes could glide over the attractive features and details of her seatmate, Chaeyoung noticed how she slowly began to turn her head in her direction.

This immediately caused Chaeyoung to turn her gaze back towards the front. After all, she didn't want to be seen as a creepy starting creep or make the girl feel uncomfortable.

Chaeyoung expected the girl to turn her head just because she wanted to look around or maybe reach for her wallet to order a drink, but to her surprise, it turned out differently.

Instead of hearing the order of an alcoholic drink in her ears, Chaeyoung heard the calmly spoken words "I don't think I've seen you here before?"

Chaeyoung's heart felt as if it had skipped a beat, not because the brunette's voice sounded more attractive than she expected, but because this statement took her quite by surprise, as she didn't expect to be talked to by anyone other than Jisoo tonight.

"Me?" she asked in reverse as she turned her head back to her right. "Yeah, that could be. I'm actually not the biggest club goer..."

Chaeyoung's gaze met that of her counterpart, which was not only capitive, but also created a small tingle in Chaeyoung's stomach, something she hadn't felt in a long time, or possibly even ever.

And as much as Chaeyoung tried, she could not hide her somehow cute shyness.

This was evident in the next statement of the girl, who now turned her whole body on the chair to Chaeyoung and spoke "Why this? The club has its good sides when you look behind all the alcohol clouding your brain and the macho guys. Which brings me to my next question. Where is your companion? You're not here alone, are you? Although I would find that more beneficial to get to know you better"

Chaeyoung could feel her cheeks heating up and could only hope that they would not glow red.

Feeling slightly flattered, she lowered her head briefly while a small smile crept onto her lips.

"No, my friend went to say hi to an old classmate of hers" she answered with humor and a little chuckle as she raised her head again and tucked one of her blonde strands behind her ear at the same time.
