Monday has hardly started and Jennie was already more annoyed than it can be healthy for a human being. No breeze, no rustling of leaves could be heard as she stood almost anchored to the cobblestone courtyard, on which the sun was already beating down at this hour, in front of her school, looking around with distaste in her eyes. She hadn't even set foot in the building and yet she felt her skin crawling.
The reason for this was not only the creatures of classmates strolling around her, but also the knowledge that she was literally standing infront of 8 hours of pure boredom and mental exhaustion.
Jennie's eyes glided over the letters written in yellow on the green sign that hangs above the main entrance and every time she sees that name, "Apgujeong High School", she just feels the desire to burn this entire building to the ground with an 'accidental' fire.
The happenings inside the school didn't make Jennie's mood any better.
On the contrary since certain people had the feeling that it was not at all annoying when they shouted like a gang of monkeys and threw their beloved basketball across the entire hallway.
And that before 8 o'clock!
The sharp look that Jennie gave the two guys whose whole inteligent would probably fit on a teaspoon, basically said "If this ball even touches me in the slightest way he won't be the only thing I'll crush"
Arrived at her locker, which housed not only books, pens and other things needed for the lessons, but also a whole pack of cigarettes, if Jennie ever needed one, should her nine times smart teachers or classmates once again rob her the last nerves.
Jennie would have liked to bang her head for the rest of the day against the metal door of her locker and hope that the government spontaneously decides that from now on teens have only 2 days of school instead of 5.
"I swear, as soon as I graduate you will never see me near this madhouse again!" Jennie's eyes popped briefly in annoyance as she literally tore open the dark blue metal door of her locker to search for the books she would need for her first two lessons.
Her hand slid from her thick history book, which felt like it had more pages than the holy bible, to her English book, and finally to her math book.
"Whoever came up with the idea of putting math in the first two lessons on Monday-" Jennie thought with a quick eyebrow raise before closing her door much more gently than she had opened it a few moments ago.
She turned around with the book of her hate-subject firmly in her hand, tossing one of her brown strands fancy out of her face with two fingers, only to have it pushed back with three more by a shock jerk shortly after.
"Oh God, Lisa!" she exclaimed as she nearly slammed her back against the locker wall, her heart pounding against the inside of her chest as if it was about to either jump out or explode.
She pressed her book tightly against her chest as a natural protective reaction and tried to catch her breath.
"Okay, wow, I knew I was gorgeous, but that you'd lose your balance when I come near you..." Lisa replied with a short chuckle as she slightly furrowed her eyebrows.
She knew her best friend was skittish, but not even being allowed to stand behind her these days was slightly over the top.
"You're so fucking impossible Manoban" Jennie replied with a short sigh, unable to keep up her serious, slightly pissed off facade, whereupon a smile came to her lips only seconds later, combined with a chuckle. "However, it would have had an advantage if you had caused me a heart attack. Then I wouldn't have to go to mister Lo's boring math class"
