AUTHOR'S POV

He slowly opened the door of her cabin and roamed his eyes to find her.

He spotted her on the couch near the window.

She was cocooned with her head dipped in her legs. Her body was shaking indicating that she was crying.

He can fight the entire world for her but who will give him the power to fight her?

A very familiar feeling which he probably felt 7 years ago last time i.e. his heart being stabbed with thousands of knives passed him.

She is his strength and he will never let her become his weakness.

She is very different from her, but in case of being emotional, nobody can beat them.

He chuckled dryly at his thought.

He slowly moved towards the couch and sat in front of her.

With trembling hands, he touched her arm.

She stilled. Her sobs halted.

After a few seconds, she looked up.

Their eyes met, they did. But like land and sky, they seem to be very near but yet very far.

Her face was red.

Her eyes were tired.

Her head was hurting furiously. It never happened his way before, then why his sentences and acts have the power to bring the storm in her mind?

She was herself confused that it is normal for any employer to shout at his employee, then why she is feeling pain which was definitely not because of today.

She was sure she is meeting him for the first time then why his rudeness, his anger, his shouting feels so familiar?

"Sorry" he mumbled but their eyes never broke contact.

His face was unfamiliar.

His voice was unfamiliar.

His eyes were unfamiliar.

Then why only his words were affecting her?

She was damn sure she never met him in 21 years of her existence.

Well, this is not the first time she is feeling this way for someone. There were many but only he is affecting her.

She looked at him accusingly.

"I am sorry, Ms. Verma for shouting at you. I was wrong. Sorry for not getting a hold on my anger issues" he sighed and relaxed.

She looked at him carefully and surprisingly found him genuine.

She felt bad too that he is apologizing. After all, he is the boss and it is always the other way around.

"I am sorry Mr.Dutta. I really am. Because of me, you lost the contract" she whispered as a sob escaped her mouth.

She hates that she is so emotional and can't control her tears but it is what it is.

He looked at her with adoration.

Now, who will tell her that it was one of the best presentations he has seen till date.

"No worries. I will handle it" A ghost of a smile passed his lips which she definitely missed.

He took out his handkerchief and moved his hand toward her face.

"May I?" he asked before touching her.
