#1-REUNION AND A NEW FRIEND

Hi readers! This is the first chapter of "Love is a pain, but past that it's a blessing". Hope you enjoy the first chapter.

Author's pov :-

A reunion of 7 friends from high school. 4 girls and 3 boys. 6 of them are meeting in a pub called The Fun pub and the 7th member Alice(our 1st lead), is missing because she is not interested in reunions. She never attended any of them.

Alice completes her work at the company and goes into the same pub by coincidence. She didn't know that they were having a reunion in the same pub and her friends recognise her. Leo(her friend in high school and university) drags her to the table and makes her sit with everyone. She orders a beer and sits quietly. All of them are surprised by her dressing style. She is wearing all black, black top, black jacket, black jeans and black boots. She was totally a different person back in the university. She was cute and lively and now she has a cold face, indifferent to anyone or anything. After a little chat, one of her friends ask her if she is in a relationship. Alice says that she is not interested in relationships. They all want to know about more about her but they are scared to ask her, because she changed into a complete different person. To get the information they plan to play truth or dare.

They spin the bottle and it's Alice's turn to ask Leo. Leo chooses dare and she asks him to get on the table and shout that he likes men. Leo is straight (heterosexual) so he feels weird to do it and he says that he will do it only if she does it first.

Alice gets on the table and shouts that she likes women and also asks if anyone in the pub wants to go on a date with her now. She sees a hand in the air. Alice gets down and walks to that girl.

Alice: hi honey! What's your name?
Girl: it's Pang.
Alice: okay Pang are you ready for a date with me?
Pang: let's get out of here.

Alice holds her hand and takes her to her table and tells her friends that she will go now and says
'Leo, I want the video of you doing the dare by today midnight'. Alice takes Pang on her bike and shows her the night view of the city. They have their dinner in a small restaurant and Alice drops Pang off at her dorm.

Pang: I'm not interested in a relationship but will
you be my one night stand ?
Alice:*gives a sweet smile and pats her head* you are still studying, you are still underage to drink alcohol. Don't let me catch you drinking again. Don't cause any troubles and go sleep.
Pang: I'm just 2 years away for 21.
Alice: no, you are not allowed.
Pang sees Alice as her friend and as mother, because she nags like her mother.
Pang: okay my mother, wanna be friends? Can you give me your number?
Alice gives her number and watch Pang as she goes into her dorm.

Right then she receives a message. It's the video of Leo doing the dare. Though he was not confident while doing the dare, he was quite cute and someone in the pub takes an interest on him. He was sitting in a corner wearing a black suit and observing Leo and as he sees Leo, he gets curious about Leo. He likes how Leo was so cute even though he was embarrassed while doing the dare. He decides to make Leo fall for him.

Few weeks later :-

Alice and Pang become friends. Pang always calls Alice to hangout with her. They both have lunch together or go out to watch movies. Pang almost always ditches her friends and go out with Alice. Pang makes Alice to open up a little. They both become close friends but Alice still keeps her thoughts and worries with her. Alice never really talks about anything related to her personal life. Pang notices it but never pushes Alice to talk about herself.

Pang has a secret admirer, who is always searching for her but Pang is making that person more curious about her by frequently disappearing from the university. It is difficult for that person to search for her since Pang is always with Alice.

Her admirer searches all her junior classes but she never finds her. Pang shows herself to her admirer, while leaving with her friends from the university but she never really catch up to Pang because Pang always goes with Alice on the bike. For Pang's admirer, Pang is like a little butterfly which appears suddenly and disappear in a second when you try to catch it.
