Love is a pain, but past that it's a blessing

#13-HAPPY ENDING-2(K&L)

Hi readers! Hope you enjoyed Alice and Cea's ending. Here is the chapter with Kao and Leo's happy ending. Hope you enjoy it.

Night after Alice and Cea's wedding :-

Kao and Leo gone back home.
Kao: Leo, come on change your clothes.
Leo: mmmm, no I'm lazy.
Kao: you will be uncomfortable to sleep in a suit.
Leo: then propose to me and then I'll change.
Kao: *sigh* you are still not sober yet.
Leo: Kao, I told you didn't I, that I was ready to do everything with you. Didn't you see how happy Alice and Cea were?
Kao: so you will be happy if you marry me?
Leo: Kao, it will make me happy because our marriage will give me the right and courage to tell the world that you are mine.
Kao: I didn't know that you wanted to tell everyone.
Leo: don't you think it should be my right to take care of you as your husband. I'm not saying that I don't have the right now but it make me feel like we are normal like every other couple.
Kao: *smiles softly* then I will gladly give you the title you deserve. Now take a shower, change your clothes and sleep.
Leo: thank you so much, I love you.
Kao: *kisses Leo on his forehead* I love you too.

They both shower and sleep.

A week later :-

It's been a week since Alice and Cea's wedding and Kao is secretly preparing to propose to Leo.
Kao is busy preparing the pub to use as a venue for proposal and he comes home almost at midnight everyday.

One day, Leo got to leave early from work and he decided to go to Kao. He goes to the pub where Kao usually works and gets confused when he sees the closed sign on the door. When he was about to leave the lights inside switch on. He concludes that they might have closed it due to some repairs and Kao is still inside.

Inside the pub :-

Kao is still waiting for his decorations in the pub to complete. He prepares the lights as per Leo's favourite colour, purple. He decorates everything with lights, candle, pink and white roses and red roses for proposing. Today, he was checking if everything is ready and perfect and he was rehearsing for the big day. He thinks that something is still missing and he decides to think about it for one more day and then propose to Leo.

As Kao was rehearsing for one last time with the red roses and the ring in his hand, Leo enters the pub.
Surprised by the decorations Leo looks around the pub and goes to the 1st floor, where Kao is rehearsing. Right when Leo starts walking in from the stairs, he hears Kao saying I love you. When he goes further in he sees Kao kneeling down with roses and the ring. As soon as Kao sees Leo, he jumps up and asks him,

Kao: what are you doing here?
Leo: uhh! I came to see you, so you weren't expecting me to come?
Kao: mmm.....
Leo: suspicious! What were you doing earlier when I came?
Kao: I... ahhhh...
Leo: if you don't tell me you will be sleeping on the couch starting tonight, till you tell me.
Kao: uh! You always blackmail me. What can I do other than surrender? I guess only I love to sleep with you.
Leo: stop! Don't try to change the topic.
Kao: fine, what can I do when it has come to this?

Kao kneels down again, giving the roses to Leo. Then he takes out the ring and asks Leo,

Kao: though I prepared everything for it to be a surprise, there is an unexpected moment of you coming here. But I know life is full of unexpected things and I'm confident that everything will work out just fine with you by my side. I have courage that I can take care of us in all kinds of situations and give you love and care. You took a big step by accepting my feelings even though you didn't know what it feels to like a same gender. Even though you didn't think of yourself in a relationship with someone of same gender before, you were brave enough to accept those feelings you had for first time  and accept me. For me it was the most important and beautiful thing in my life. Thank you for taking that big step. I loved you 5 years ago and I still love you and I will keep on loving you till I die. Will you take another big step by marrying me?
Leo: *crying* yes, I'm always ready to do everything with you. I love you so much.

Kao takes Leo's hand, slides the ring on his finger and kisses the back of his hand.

Kao: you know I didn't prepare to do this today.
Leo: what? Yeah I know I came here without telling you but your speech felt like you have been more than ready to do it today.
Kao: actually I'm done preparing everything but I thought something was missing. So I thought I'll take one more day to make things more perfect and then propose to you.
Leo: but don't the flowers wither by that day?
Kao: yes! I thought I'll bring you here tomorrow morning after checking everything today night so I decorated it flowers already but I thought something was missing so I postponed it to another day and I can always get the flowers whenever I want.
Leo: it's more than perfect and you still thought it was missing something? You sure are a businessman who thinks everything should be perfect for project to be successful.
Kao: *smiles* of course everything should be perfect for the love of my life.
Leo: I love you. 
Kao: I love you too.

The wedding :-

Kao and Leo invited just their friends since they both don't have parents. They had their wedding just like any other wedding. Though they didn't have a family, they both grew up just fine and now they both are each other's family.

Family doesn't mean having parents, partner and kids. It means to have someone with you till your end. A person who is waiting for you to come back home. Having someone to share your worries, happiness and sorrow. Kao and Leo made a family together, with each other, became each other's home, a place to return after everything.
