Chapter 2
"Technically, I'm your guardian angel now." he corrected, putting his arms behind his head then laying down. He closed his eyes, and seemed to be relaxing. The complete opposite of what I was. 'How is this even remotely possible? God is just now sending someone to help me? Why wouldn't he do it sooner? Not that I even need his help.....'
Then his eyes quickly snapped open and looked directly at me. "How can you even think that! You totally need my help." he protested.
"But I never asked for it!" I snapped back. "And you said you wouldn't read my mind anymore!"
"Technically you did ask for someone's help." he smirked. I hated it when I ate my own words. "And you never actually said to me, 'stop reading my mind'." he grinned. God he made my life just a more living hell. I already had to deal with one super natural creature everyday, but now I had to deal with a freaking angel now?! What was next? A vampire and werewolf fighting over me, like twilight?
"Werewolves and vampires don't exist." he mumbled.
"Stop reading my mind!" I yelled. Adrian held his arms up innocently, then got up from the couch. "Geez, someone really needs to get out of the house." he chuckled. How could he even say that in my face?!
So I walked up to him, and pushed him to the wall until I couldn't push him no more. But I knew he was letting me. He was probably ten times stronger than I was, and he was an angel. Of course he was stronger than a simple mortal. Then I looked at him, dead serious. But he just had a stupid playful face that said, 'life is just a plain joke'. Of course he would think that cause he could live forever! I however have a short time to live, and all of it so far has been wasted. "Have you even been paying attention? I've been trapped in this stupid apartment for years without leaving it or 'relaxing'. I've been stuck in homes and never been able to live a normal life. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE SUFFERING 24/7?!?" I shrieked, and felt tears running down my face. I felt my whole body tremble and falling apart. I was getting tired of all of this, and wanted to end it all right now.
So I backed away from Adrian, and walked to my kitchen and opened a drawer. I grabbed a handgun and grasped it in my hand. Then I walked back over to Adrian and placed it in his hand. He gave me a scared and confused look, but mostly scared. "Kill me." I ordered.
"Excuse me?" he gave a frightened look.
"I order you, my guardian angel, to kill me right now." I explained.
"No." he denied.
"I order you to!"
"Even though I'm your guardian angel, that doesn't mean I have to bow down to your every will." he informed. Well then what was the purpose of having a guardian angel at your side if they didn't even listen to you? Sure they protected you from harm, but still.
"Kill me right now!" I ordered.
"Why? You've already tired killing yourself, so why would now be any different?" he asked.
"Because your an angel. I'm sure you can stop Incubi from preventing my death."
"No." he repeated.
"Adrian!" I complained.
"No, I refuse to kill you. I'm an angel and I cannot kill." he said.
"Oh but you'll kill demons right?" I snarled. He didn't reply, thinking of what to say. I got him now. "What is the difference by killing a demon and not a mortal Adrian? Killing is killing. I'm sure you've killed something before." I raised an eyebrow.
"Killing a demon and killing a mortal is two complete different things." he responded. Yah right!
"Oh really? You end two lives, period. What's the difference?" I questioned, wanting to hear his excuse.
