Chapter 6

As soon as I stepped inside the school building, everyone's eyes laid on me. I didn't think they'd recognize me..

I know I don't go to school but when I was littler I did. But that was when I didn't know I was being tortured by Incubi. And he made his message very clear that he didn't want me to have any friends. And that message nearly ruined my life.

~☆~

It all started on a day at third grade. My attacks from Incubi weren't very strong and hurtful to me back then. Then, I had thought they were just mere nightmares that I kept having every night.

I sat by the window in the front of the classroom, and just then my best friend had came into the room. Her name was Madison. She was just an inch taller than me back then and had strawberry blonde hair. It was all curled up, and she had a bright smile on her face as she saw me sitting in the front of the class. She set her books and school supplies by me and we began to talk about our weekend. We couldn't have our annual sleepover since Madison had been sick with something that was a bit worse than the flu or the everyday cold. Actually that parents had no idea what was wrong with Madison. So they let her rest the whole weekend, and took her to the doctor. Since they had no idea what was wrong with her, they let Madison rest the whole entire weekend in her bed. Like it was nothing to worry about.

They were all wrong.

She had dark circles under eyes and yawned about every five minutes. She seemed to sink into her chair and her head fell on her desk. That day, she looked exhausted. "Madison are you okay?" I asked. She turned her head then faced me with a sickened look.

"I keep having nightmares every time I sleep. And I still feel sick." she groaned. I felt her forehead and it was freezing compared what the average forehead is suppose to feel like. "You feel so cold! You should have stayed home today!" I exclaimed, worried about my best friend.

"My parents said I should try and pull it through school today." she mumbled, and laid her head on her desk. I shook my head, and stood up above her. "No I refuse to let my friend go through school today when she is sick! I'm taking you to the nurse's office. I will not let my best friend suffer anymore!"

If only I knew I was the cause of her suffering and pain.

I told the teacher I was taking Madison to the nurse since she wasn't feeling well and the teacher agreed with me within one glance at Madison. Then I carried her stuff for her, as we walked it he hallway together while the bell rang and everyone ran to their classes. Madison began coughing and sneezing, then tripped onto the ground. I panicked. "Madison! Are you okay?!"

She coughed again, and nodded. She opened her mouth and tried to speak but nothing came out. "Did you lose your voice?" I questioned, then knelt down to her. She shook her head no and made muffled sounds. Suddenly, we heard an evil laugh echoing off the hallways. The voice was deep, and male like. There covering Madison's mouth with his hand was a tall man with red eyes, a black and dark suit with a blood red tie. He held a smile that made me very nervous. he kept laughing over and over again, which made me step back from him.

This was the first time time Incubi had shown himself to me.

Madison gave more muffled sounds, and tried to shake the man off of her, but he held her tightly that outweighed her strength greatly.

"Oh poor Madison, I hear your not feeling so well." he spoke while stroking her hair.

"Who... Who are you?" I asked, nervously. He laughed to himself and stood up, holding Madison in his hands. I was tempted to run away and find a teacher but I didn't want to risk losing Madison to the man.
