Adrian's P.O.V~
God she looked so beautiful when the wind was blowing in her hair. I enjoyed saving her from her fall, knowing Incubi pushed her. I didn't know why she wouldn't just come clean and tell me that Incubi was there. Actually, Incubi was following us the whole time we were outside. But just with my presence, he stayed back until I made her go on that log by herself. Then he made her fear rise and pushed her right off the edge. But I knew all of this was going to happen. That's how I saved her so quickly. I had my wings all ready to save her, just waiting for her to fall. It was to obvious that Incubi was going to push her. But all of that was just a test. I wanted to see what kind of person Scarlet was. If she was a girl who couldn't handle situations, or would just suck it up and deal with whatever came her way. I know, I know. It's wrong to put her in danger just to see that, but I wouldn't let her die.
"Adrian?" Scarlet said. I looked at her, and I saw a light pink rising in her cheeks. I smiled, just because it looked to cute. She was very beautiful for just a simple human.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Incubi was there at the creek." she said. So, it seems like she isn't a big secret keeper. Looks like she partly trusts me.
"Really? I thought you just fell because you were clumsy." I joked. She gave me another light punch in the shoulder and I laughed.
"Shut up. I'm not clumsy. Incubi made fun of me, and pushed me off the log. It wasn't my fault.." she argued. But I still smiled, amused by her. "But if it wasn't for Incubi, I would have never gotten to see your wings." she gleamed. I chuckled, and we continued to walk down the trail leading back to her house. I loved being by her side. She seemed so different from other people I've met. Well, angels. I haven't met to many actual humans really.
"Adrian?" Scarlet said again.
"Are you going to begin every conversation we have with saying my name?" I asked, practically laughing.
She blushed again and ignored my comment. "Why did God chose you to be my guardian angel? Why not someone else?"
"Are you trying to replace me already?" I asked saracastically.
"No! I was just curious is all..." she trailed off feeling so embarrassed. 'God why the hell did I even ask that? I'm so stupid!' Scarlet thought to herself. Yes I know I said I would stop, but some thoughts are just so strong, they stick out and you don't have to read the person's mind. They speak for themselves.
"Well, I don't know Scarlet. I guess I was just picked randomly or something." I lied. I couldn't tell her the real reason why I was chosen. That was a whole different story. And she didn't need to worry about that.
"Okay." she finished, and we finally arrived at the apartment. I opened the door for her, as the gentleman thing to do, and closed it after we were inside. She took off her jacket and scarf and hung them back inside the closet. I just studied her movements, mesmerized by her. "Are you okay Adrian?"
I quickly regained myself and struggled to get words out of my mouth. "Yah, just a lot of stuff of my mind." I replied, embarrassed I caught staring at her. She smiled sweetly, and closed the closet door. Then Scarlet yawned and stretched her arms. "I think I'm going to take a quick nap before diner." she said, grabbing a blanket.
"But you passed out today, so you've kinda been sleeping most of the day really.. Your actually tired?" I question.
"Humans probably get tired a lot quicker than you angels do. Besides today was a big day for me. Going outside and being pushed off a log, and falling towards a creek. And seeing your wings, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I've never gotten this much action in my life before you showed up." she popped the p.
