Tom Riddle's POV

I pace around the Chamber and shook my head. I could still hear the screams of that girl and her brother. A boy and that old fool Dumbledore came down here with them, and chained them to the wall. . . It tore my heart to hear them, and I don't know why. I had talked a little with Dragon, and then that girl. . . She said her name was Ruby, but I know that isn't true. Her magic was a lot stronger than Dragon's, that was for sure.
I shook my head and sat down, calling for my dear Basilisk, Queen. She slithered out of the pipes and into her pool in front of me. "You called?" She asked me. "Did you see the children that Dumbles brought down here?" She stayed still for a minute or so, thinking. "Yesss, I did. Why?"

I stayed quiet, not wanting to ask my question. "Why, Tom?" Queen asked me again. "Did. . . Did their magic feel familiar to you?" I ask. "Yesss. It felt like your'sss." She stated simply. I turned around, staring at her. "What?"

No-one's POV

"Archer! Wait up!" Lilith calls out, running after the two twins. Archer stops, sighing, but that didn't go unnoticed by Lilith or Draco. "Are you annoyed with us? We can go, if you want. . ." Draco asked. "No, she's not. She's having what many call a 'mid-life crisis'." The four heard someone say. Harry looked up and saw Crow sitting in the air, his wings keeping him aloft. He dropped down, landing on his feet, and walked over to the group of friends.

"Oh, hello." Archer said. "What's up?" Crow shook his head slightly. "I was looking around the school and saw something interesting. . ." He said, then held out his hand. Archer looked at it and saw a picture.

"What is this? Some sick joke? Who wrote that?" Archer asked, taking the picture from Crow

"What is this? Some sick joke? Who wrote that?" Archer asked, taking the picture from Crow. "That, I'm currently trying to find out." He said. Harry took the picture and looked at it. "Lilith, when I went out for a minute, did Dragon stay with you?" Harry asked. "No, he had to use the bathroom, but that was it. . . But he did take a while. . ." Lilith said, looking at Draco, who was standing there awkwardly. When he noticed that the others were looking at him, he threw his hands in the air. "I did nothing but go use the loo, since Archer was using ours." He said, shaking his head. Archer narrowed her eyes, and that made Draco shudder.

"Did you black out or anything on your way back?" She asked, crossing her arms. "Not to my knowledge, no." Draco said defensively. "Dragon, you can tell us the truth. . ." Harry said, looking up from the photo. Draco sighed and shook his head. "Look, can we talk about this later? We've probably missed most of dinner." He said, walking past his friends. Archer shook her head, but followed.

The four walked into the Great Hall and a man stood up. "You must be Harry Potter!" He said, rushing over to Harry. Before the man could touch him, however, Archer blocked him, hissing. "Archer, that's a professor." Lilith whispered. "He was at the feast yesterday." She continued. "I don't care who he is. Yesterday, we had some. . . trouble, if you don't remember." Archer hissed, turning her head to Lilith while not breaking eyecontact with the professor. Lilith nodded slowly. She didn't need a reminder that Archer had shoved her into a table with her magic, making the table break, and her head to bleed slightly.

"Archer, let's just go sit down, I'm hungry. . ." Harry whispered. Archer turned around and picked up Harry, then the four walked over to the Slytherin table. Draco looked up at the Head Table and saw Eden shaking her head, chuckling. He pointed her out to the twins and Harry smiled. "She finds it funny that Archer still likes to carry me." He said, grinning. As they were eating, Hermione walked over and dropped a note on Draco's lap, then walked back over to the Ravenclaw table. Draco picked up the note and looked at the twins with a puzzled look. He opened it, then gave it to Archer.

Archer, Harry,
I talked to a few people at my table earlier. Crow showed me the picture. I asked other Houses as well. You might need to keep Draco away from everyone else and keep an eye on him.
Multiple people said they saw him with a bucket of. . . Red liquid. The same liquid that the messages were written with.
-H. G.

Harry and Archer looked at each other after they finished reading the note, then they glanced at Draco, who was making small talk with Ginny, who had sat down next to him. "I'll take care of him." Harry whispered, then slid off of Archer's lap. He walked over to Draco and bent down. "Dragon, can you follow me?" He whispered. Draco turned to look at Harry and was met with bright ruby eyes. "S-sure, Hades." He said, then got up and followed Harry out of the Hall.

Archer looked up and was met with Eden's quizzical gaze. "Later." She mouthed, and Eden nodded.
