Chapter 8

Brianna's pov

There is nothing more pleasant than Sunday nights and shopping to me. I had originally planned on going with Cora but she isn't picking up my calls after I told her she was in love. I walked into the elevator, and as the doors were shutting, someone slid in between the gap.

Way too many unpleasant coincidences, I rolled my eyes as the annoying kid from the club walked in. The door closed and she waved at me. "Hello, dear, nice to meet you again," I silently eyed her up and down. Shorts with SHIRT? Her fashion sense sucks.

"Who the fuck wears shorts with a shirt?" She grinned and raised her hand. "Me, I do, well, I don't like pants, they make me feel...not so good but shorts, they...they are good, they don't make me feel not so good that's why I prefer shorts, hmm,  I wish, we could wear them at school as well, they are not available with the school uniform so I'm bound to wear pants at school, As soon I get home, shorts it is,"

I rolled my eyes at the back of my head as I gritted my teeth and raised a finger. "Not again kiddo, not again," She shook her head slightly in confusion and spoke "what not again? I was  about to thank you, you helped me last time, I didn't forget to thank you, I promise love, I thanked you but you didn't seem like you heard it,"

"Then thank me and shut the fuck up!" I gritted my teeth. She got beside me and spoke "Tha-"

I slammed my hand over her mouth, keeping my eyes on the elevator doors, I said, "If you speak, be prepared to dig your own grave,"

"But why-" I strengthened my hold, dissolving the rest of her words inside her mouth.

She tried to speak again but her words were smashed by my hand. All of sudden, The elevator lights started flickering and soon the elevator dropped with a loud bang, the lights went completely off and the elevator stopped moving. I stumbled but was successful in maintaining my balance by grabbing the wall.

"What happened?" I questioned.

"Well, the lift just stopped, as far as I know, there can be two, no, three main reasons for this, number one power breakdown, and number two the monster who hid here from me, I found it on the streets when I attacked it, it ran inside the mall, number three me-"

"Cut it!" I yelled and pressed the random elevator buttons. "It's of no use when there's a power outage,"

"I know okay? I am not dumb." I exclaimed with a sign.

"Oh," She stared at me with furrowed eyebrows. "Then why are you hitting the buttons?"

I tried to control the urge to punch her face and slammed the elevator doors. "Anybody here!" I yelled.

"I am" She giggled. I snapped my head towards her and gave her a deadly glare. She remained oblivious to my glare and kept laughing.

After a few more minutes of trying, I slid down to the floor and took a deep breath. She slid beside me as well and said, "You shouldn't rest your back like this what if the monster tears the wall apart to get in here and you get crushed in the process..."

I looked her up and down. "Then what is the monster gonna do to you? DEVOUR you with WORSHIP!" I screamed in her face.

She grinned "It can't kill me," I stared at her in disbelief. "In that case, the demon should come and-ahh!" With a swift and bone-breaking push, my body flies and lands on the parallel side.

I stood up and groaned at the sharp pain the hit caused in my body. I rubbed my head and spun around.

"HOLY SHIT!" I gasped out. A huge, disgusting black-colored reptile-like animal with sharp spines and saliva dripping out of his mouth was standing on his twos in front of me. I stumbled backward when the thing took a step forward. The brit kid got in front of me and turned her head to me.
