Chapter 5

Cora's Pov

Oh.My.Fucking.god.ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I tried hooking up with my student who can possibly be a minor. God knows what would have happened to my job if she was not an idiot.

I took in a deep breath to calm myself. What's done is done, from now on I will maintain my distance from her.

I reached my classroom and rolled my eyes at the kids trying to alert their friends about my arrival. I looked back to find no sign of Kai.

I entered the room and assigned everyone their task My gaze shifted between my wristwatch and the door. Half of the class has passed and she isn't here yet. If she thinks she's gonna get away with this just because...I swear.

How stupid can a person be? She believes in vampires and shit. It's 2022, even five years old can tell you supernatural creatures are nothing but a myth.

"Dreaming 'bout me teach?" I heard Olivia's loud voice followed by teasing ooooh. Well, here we go. I must admit this girl has got some balls. She's still trying to get into my pants after horribly being rejected multiple times.

I bet, most of these students have a crush on me but none of them has ever tried to hit on me-not complaining just stating a fact. But Olivia...she has made it her sole purpose to make me lose my job.

"Only if it was a nightmare," I spoke out loud. The whole class bursts into laughs and Olivia fakes a smile and puts her ass back down.

Fifteen minutes later I see Kai standing at the classroom door. She was about to walk in but I called out "You're late"

She turned her neck towards me and smiled before waving at me. She entered the room and walked toward me.

I stood up and said, "Did I give you permission to come in?"

She seemed puzzled and questioned, "I didn't even ask for your permission why would you give it to me?" I was left speechless. Before I figure out what to say

She takes a step forward and slips her hand into her pocket. She pulls her hand out with chocolate in it and leans it out to me. "I am so so sorry, I said bad things to you but I'd have never said that if I knew you are not a vampire, now friends again?... Please?" She said with hopeful eyes.

I placed my hand over the chocolate in her hand. Her smile turned into a grin and she opens her mouth but before she gets the chance to speak something, I took the chocolate from her and threw it to the boy in the first row.

I cleared my throat and said "You're late so please...out of my class"

Her grin disappeared and turned into a smile. "Why you don't like chocolates? No worries I'll get you something else-"

"Don't argue with me...." She opened her mouth to speak again "I said out of the class," I repeated calmly.

"Okay, if you want me to go out...." she waved at me before walking out of the class. I turned to my class already knowing the expression on their face.

Everyone except Olivia shifts their gazes back to their books. I bounced my eyebrows "What? You want to be out next?" She bit her bottom lips and kept staring shamelessly. "Whatever," I mumbled and sit back.

I glance over and watched Kai. She was walking around, swinging her legs, or playing with her necktie. I sat there, observing her weird actions. I realized how long have I been staring when the bell rang.

Everyone left in a rush to go home as it was their last class. Kai makes her way to me through the crowd with her huge grin and chirps. "Hello sweetheart, would you like to have my company after school? Anne wouldn't be at home, she arrives late so I am often alone and bored til she comes, not that we do much when she's home but we have a conservation about our day, so if you'd like, we can hang out or do ANYTHING you like, we can go to my home or your residence and just talk and if you want to go to a restaurant...cinema, garden anywhere...We'll go and...I'll pay for it or we're friends so we can do friends stuff,"
