Chapter 2

Annexe's Pov

I was sitting next to kai and sipping my wine when suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. "Wait a second," I said to McKay and turned around to see a random woman wearing a white top and a thin white cloth choker around her neck.

"Would you mind some company?" The brown-eyed girl questioned. With the look she was giving even an idiot apart from Mckay of course could guess what she was indicating.

I hummed as I gulped in my wine. I am all in for getting laid on the first night in New York. "Sure I'd love to...Can you give me a sec?"

"Yeah absolutely, I could give you lots of secs" I smirked at her comment. I'd have replied with something sassy but I have to get kai off my back before she interrupts.

I turned to face kai and saw her talking to someone. I decided to let her do whatever she was doing just so she doesn't interrupt my not-so-date-type date. Besides she was sitting right beside me so I'd be there for her if she needs help.

I remember the first time I took her to a club. I was trying to flirt with a girl who was totally into me but kai decides to annoy the living shit out of her. The girl made an excuse, left and never returned.

I know, I can't and I don't blame kai for the way she behaves. She was mentally and physically abused by her family just because she was intersex. Her mom barely let out of the house, She never went to school, and above all....the worst thing... they didn't even let her have a phone. Just because she wanted to protect her.

I am intersex as well but my parents didn't care if I was gay, or intersex they understood I had no control over it and happily accepted me but the school kids had no mercy. When I entered high school, I decided to come out to everyone and be who I am freely. I thought they would accept me happily like my parents but they bullied me about it until I was fed up with them and changed school.

Growing up somehow I always knew a person was going through something, I didn't know what but I could just sense it. That's why when I meet kai, I felt something off with her. I tried to get to know and gradually got to know about her psychotic family.

I immediately reported them to the police and got them arrested. I become her legal guardian. She doesn't even know they are in prison and I am not even planning on telling her anytime soon.

She doesn't understand that they were abusing her and the way she is now...is because of them. If she got to know, she wouldn't put a second thought into taking them out of prison.

"I am Brianna Brown," The brunette extended her arm.

"It's an honour to meet you, I am Annexe," I said as I kissed her forehand.

"The honour's mine," she said kissing my back in return. "Won't Your girlfriend mind you talking to another girl?" She said pointing to kai.

I internally gagged "Eww, no, she's not my GF"

"Guessed it, you were too hot for her," She spoke.

I controlled the urge rolled my eyes and said "Or you can she's way too young for me,"

"No thanks, I'll stick with the you're too hot for her"

I took a sip of my wine and remained silent as I tried thinking about a new topic. "Cat got your tongue?" She teased.

"Yeah it did, can I put yours in my mouth?" I smirked.

"I'd like to put it somewhere else," She scrunched her nose looking down at my crotch.

"I'd like that too if I were you" I whispered as I took another shot of wine.

"Then should I?" She asked as she placed her hand on my thigh moving towards my centre. "Not here," I don't want to make out in front of Mckay she does know about it and if she sees she'd questions I don't wanna answer.
