The school took a week off because of a major storm that ripped through our whole state.
After a whole week, we are now back at school. Everyone is talking about the storm and what damage it made to their homes.
In first period I have maths. I sit two seats behind Holly which is good because that means I can look at her.
"Holly!" Her friend who sits two seats behind me yells out to her during class. She turns around and meets my eye before returning her gaze to her friend up the back.
"Yeah?" She yells back.
"I need to tell you something at lunch remind me." She says
"Yeah she needs to tell you something at lunch." I say to Holly. I don't really know why I said it but I guess it was just another epic fail of a conversation starter by me.
She looks at me and lets out a forced sounding giggle. I laugh a little at her sudden outburst before returning to my work.
Small baby steps.
