Enchanted

XVI.

Lisa scrambles to her feet to stand up seeing Jisoo opened the door. Ahe stumbked a little and Jisoo tried to catch her.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. Thank you.", she smiles and fixes her beannie.

"What are you doing here, Lisa?", Jisoo softly asks.

"I just want us to talk. Please.", Lisa pleads.

The older decided to let Lisa in.

Sitting on tbe opposite side of the couch, Lisa starts to talk.

"I know I haven't been clear of my intentions towards you. And I know that what we have might be wrong for now. But this (pointing her hand to them back and forth), this thing we have has been the most right thing that has happened to my life."

She exhales deep. Her eyes are gloomy and quite sleepy because perhaps of exhaustion and drunkenness.

Jisoo feels the sincerity of each words.

"But Lisa, you're practically cheating on Jennie. And I'm part of it. Jennie has been nothing but a good person to me. The guilt I feel everyday is growing, and when I saw you both in the event, that's when I realized we have to stop whatever is going on between us."

Lisa frustratedly rubbed her face with her both hands to keep her awake and to for her think staright.

"But I can't lose you.", the pleading voice again.

The older girl just wants to hug the other and take away the pain in her face. But she held on. She has to keep her distance from Lisa no matter how much it hurts her too.

"Just focus on your family Lisa. Lean loves you so much.

And Jisoo was surprised to hear Lisa chuckle and speak with so much bitterness.

"And here I thought you felt the same for me. I thought we had something worth fighting for. Well, I was wrong all along."

Anger, disappointment and pain. All those in Lisa's voice and Jisoo felt shivers.

When Lisa looked at her, her eyes were empty. Unlike before when Jisoo could see the universe in them. Now, it was just a black hole.

Then Lisa stood up, staggeringly, and walks towards the door.

"Lisa where are you going?"

But she did not answer. She just continued walking out of the house. Jisoo tried to stop her but her hands and pulls were just ignored and slapped away. Until Lisa could finally board the elevator.

Jisoo panicked and walked down the stairs, hoping she could catch up. She eas worried that Lisa might get inyo trouble or meet an accident on the road. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found in the lobby. The guard in front told her that a fancy car just left with the driver seemingly drunk.

Fuck!

She went back up and got her phone. She dialled Lisa's number but her calls were unanswered. She was about to cry after few minutes of trying but unsuccessful. Just then, a message from Lisa's number came.

"This is Minnie, Lisa's friend. She's fine. She's with me now. Thank you."

Jisoo slumps unto her couch and breathe deeply. Her body is shaking and she tries to calm down. When she was reminded of Lisa parting words and the emptiness of her emotions, she starts to cry.

Did I do the right thing? It's so painful. It hurts so much!! Why does this hurt so much!?

The next morning, Lisa woke up to Minnie's couch with headache and she groans. She sits up straight and looks for her shoes. She proceeds to Minnie's room to wake her up.
