It's been about 4 years since the Autobot-Decepticon War was waged on Earth, and it was something Jack Darby admittedly missed about back then. He still got to see Ratchet, the Autobot Field Medic, who stayed back here on Earth, but still missed the rest of the Autobots.
He missed Arcee, his guardian autobot and female transforming motorcycle, and their long rides together, trying to make new speed records on the road. And while doing so, she would take down Cons while Jack watched the show from behind. He missed Bumblebee, the yellow scout who only recently during the end of the war had regained his former voice instead of constant beeping and monotone buzzing, though he must admit he also missed that as well, as well as Bulkhead, the big green wrecker. He missed Smokescreen, the teenage level mature bot who's seen a lot, even if he tried to keep a lively spirit. Jack missed Wheeljack, the technical samurai layback bot. Ultra Magnus, whom Jack didn't get to know much about, but was a great example of a disciplined yet somewhat caring commander at heart, and who taught Jack how to behave in front of high level authority. But most importantly, Jack missed Optimus Prime himself, the legendary leader who taught him the characteristics of leadership and how to keep your character tempered.
But right now that's no longer what he should focus on. For now he wanted to focus on his life ahead as he continued college life.
The dormroom door opens to reveal Jack in an ordinary white t-shirt and blue jeans, with a large black backpack as well as slightly noticeable eyebags. He proceeds to sit down in a nearby wooden chair and set his stuff down, while looking around him to see wrappers and clothes laid around as well as other trash..
"Looks like Dan and Steve forgot to clean up the place... again..."
He sighed as he proceeded to try to clean up the mess.
Until the cell phone buzzed. Jack looked to see who it was. It was...
Ratchet...? He still had his number, even after all these years?
"Well, at least there aren't any Decepticons around to intercept our call signal and just hunt me down or him", Jack thought to himself.
He picked it up.
"Hello? Ratchet?"
He listened, and as did so, for about 10 minutes straight, his eyes slowly widened. And as soon as he set the phone down, he stood as silent as a rock, then immediately picked up his backpack, keys, belongings, and ran out faster than a Cheetah.
As soon as he came outside of the dorm apartment complex, there stood June Darby, his mother, with her car right behind her parked on the roadside who yelled to hurry. As soon as he entered the car, he was greeted with a hug and the car hurried.
"So, how's college honey?" She asked.
"Not much, other than just studies right now."
"Well now you won't have to worry about that anymore. Cuz it's finally time you had some fun."
Jack now felt even more jubilant.
"Yea, I can't wait to see them again!"
---------
The gray car rolled up to a military hangar base site, at Hangar E. Jack remembers the day everyone watched the Autobots leave through the space bridge. But now, it's different. It's the opposite.
As the large doors opened to let the car in, there stood on the right side two people whom Jack hadn't seen in a long time. There stood a tall Japanese girl about Jack's height, and an average sized teenage boy much younger than the both, wearing large red rectangular glasses and a black laptop backpack with other sorts of stuff in it. Both were waiting with large smiles of excitement, and as Jack got out of the car, both rushed in to tackle him, almost football style.
