Chapter 8: Prowl

Once reaching the coordinates, the group spots what look like impact craters the size of swimming pools on the ground in the middle of a clearing, seemingly made . The Teorans and the two human boys in disguise step out and walk towards the craters, while the Autobots follow, transforming to robot mode. Jack watches as Arcee pulls out a rectangular device the size of her large palm from some hidden pocket that Jack doesn't feel like knowing the location of. The device continues beeping at a solid 60 BPM (Beats Per Minute, which is used as a measurement of tempo), but as Arcee approaches the craters, the beeping rate increases, to the point where it almost sounds like a bomb that's about to go off. Everyone felt internally tense, as if waiting for the worst surprise birthday party they've seen to suddenly appear in front of their faces.

"But, I still don't get it..." Interjected Smokescreen in the midst of the tense silence, "Megatron disbanded the Decepticons just before going rogue into the vast depths of space. So why would there still be some Cons still lurking around?"

Bee replies,

"Not sure... Still patriotic to their causes or something...?"

"Correct"

Everyone turned to the direction of the voice that just boomed at 1 o'clock from where they were facing. Suddenly, from some nearby trees, about a dozen giant purple and black metal giants. They had no visible mouth, but instead wore Decepticon logos on their shoulder sides and had large single V-Shaped eyes, like visors. They were all armed with triangular plasma guns for hands. Upon sight, they opened fire. Arcee and Bee both screamed to the youngling in unison,

"RUN FOR SAFETY! NOW!"

Almost instinctively, all the adult teeenagers scrambled for some nearby brushes. Geo swooped Ami from her feet and ran, while Ami was giving a mixed look of surprise and a face that said "You didn't have to do that", although she could guess that he was just trying to do his job.

Meanwhile, the Autobots knew it was their time to shine. They each pummeled and shot down each Decepticon soldier one by one, each doing so with their own style. Arcee's fighting style was of agility and quick strikes, often jumping a lot with her small size being suitable for the element of surprise. Bumblebee had similar tactics, but he stood his ground more often like an agile boxer instead of an agile acrobat like Arcee, often ax-kicking and breaking off kneecaps with his legs. And with his hands, Bee gave uppercuts to the chin and crushed their metal ribs. Meanwhile on the other hand, Smokescreen's fighting had more of a sense of freestyle, smacking Decepticons in the face and punching them in the gut to force them defenseless and knee them in the face.

Everyone except Jack watches in amazement as the Autobot veterans take down the Cons one by one as if they were picking out fruit from a bush. Jack just simply enjoyed the show unfazed, since he's seen them all fight before. He smiled, as the nostalgia from the olden days of watching Con-Butt kicking when he was 16. He thought about learning a few moves from the Autobots, now that he was in a position much like Arcee's from several years ago.

Jack watches as Bee takes down the last Con, as it tries to sneak up from behind, but Bee punches him with the back of his palm, finishing him without even looking. A classic move from a movie.

The teens cheered for their new guardian alien robots, but it was all cut short when the same voice boomed again from the same direction.

"Very well... I guess I shall deal with you all myself."

Suddenly, everyone turns to hear the roaring of a car engine and blaring of sirens, and suddenly a large black car goes flying through the air, and proceeds to smash Smokescreen in the chest. It was, ironically, a police car, specifically a Dodge Durango model, with its sirens flashing and blaring loudly, with two white side doors that had capital letters saying "POLICE" on them as well as its rear black spoiler on its end. Jack noticed that the entire inside of the cop car was colored purple, and on the tip of the car hood at the front was the infamous Decepticon logo, painted in purple.
