Clint woke up the moment the sun broke past his eyelids from the car window, but that wasn't the only reason why he was awake early. As he stretched his arms on the car seat, he felt his stomach rumble. The last thing he remembered eating was chicken noodle soup for lunch from yesterday's lunch at the police department.
"Haven't had anything to eat, eh, Clint? I told you to bring donuts earlier before we went off."
Clint looks back at the dashboard, which had a red lit-up Autobot logo in the center, and replies,
"I was thinking those donuts were expired, Prowl..."
"Chief Marshall literally brought them just the other day."
"Oh..."
Clint looks up to see the enormous watchtower that stood right beside them. He decides to make up his mind.
"Ima go up there and ask those boys Geo and Jack Darby if they got anything."
"Don't forget your glasses. Those other Teoran kids might also be up there."
As he picks up the mentioned shades, he starts making the climb up the long, high ladder without a single thought of falling, mainly due to having barely any fear of anything in his life right now. As he reached the top, he found the front door slightly left open.
"Don't wanna trespass, but at this point, who really cares?"
He walks in to see an adult teenager with messy blue hair wearing a black visor as well as some sort of techno sword on his back. He looked at the officer, and it was clear that he was not that much of a morning person.
"Officer...? It's way too early, don't you think?"
Clint crossed his arms.
"I could ask you the same question. As for me, we're trained to wake up this early. Plus, I'm wondering if you have any food around. I didn't eat dinner last night."
"Well Lanney brought some food last night. There should be some fresh leftovers over at the fridge.
Jack gestured towards the mentioned fridge in the kitchen that was to his left. Just then, another disgruntled teenage boy walks in, having white hair this time and still wearing his own visor. He looked at Clint with a groggy eyebrow raise. Clint nods at him, and after about 2 seconds of staring, Geo turns back around and heads to a nearby bathroom, while Jack follows him.
Clint reaches the fridge and grabs a waffle, and as he munches it, his walkie-talkie makes a static noise. He listens in as Prowl talks through the radio.
"Hey chief, I just received orders straight from Optimus himself that we should get to the castle as soon as possible. And bring those other two boys with you."
Clint had a good guess on what they needed to come over to the palace for. He simply responded,
"Roger."
Two seconds later, the mentioned boys walked out of the bathroom door, not really having any change of clothes, but seemed to have rather just simply brushed their teeth, washed their faces, and combed their hair. Clint once again crosses his arms.
"Good thing you both showed up now. That Optimus guy wants to see us."
Jack raises his eyebrow.
"How do you know that?"
"Prowl told me from the radio."
Clint taps at his large radio intercom on his belt. Jack then nodded, ran over to the fridge, and grabbed a croissant, as Geo followed suit, taking what looked like a mini baguette filled with tasty cream.
