As the boys zoomed through the city, looking for Ami and the rest of the gang, Jack began to ask Geo particular questions about the new job that he was now assigned alongside with.

"How long do we have to be guards within the day?"

Geo replies with a low and slightly monotone voice,

"Until night, when Ami's asleep and we are reassured that the perimeters are safe."

"Are the others also part of our responsibility?"

"Pretty much, yes. Although Marlow's our mentor for combat."

"Ok."

Jack then points out something that slightly catches Geo off-guard.

"You don't talk often, do you? Cuz it seems like you're the quiet guy, as well as Ami."

Geo halts in his footsteps and gives Jack a confused, yet annoyed glare. Luckily, Jack reassures him,

"Relax. I'm really chill with quiet people like you. In fact, I'd actually like to know you better. Like, how do you and Ami communicate to each other without actually saying anything? Is it a thing that only quiet people can do, or can others interpret the message as well?"

Geo saw that Jack was clearly curious about how his and Ami's sense of communication works, and decided he could maybe teach him how they could communicate. After all, he knew it could be beneficial to their efforts as a team when in combat. But before they could say anything, there was a rumble. Both instantly stood their ground, knowing something was up. The rumbling on the ground grew closer, and closer, until...

B o o m !

The ground just in front of them burst, knocking them back, and a large shape unearthed from underneath the street road. Luckily they were in an unoccupied back alley where no one was around in plain sight, so no chaos erupted, or else that would've been a bigger problem.

It was what appeared to be a round, black, metal robot with arms and legs, but no head. Rather its face appeared on a giant screen on its belly.

Geo made a large sigh and pulled out his EXE Blade, ready to just simply finish the job and get along with it. For he knew who else could've sent this giant robot along his way, just to toy with him. However, he then remembered Jack was there, who looked at the robot with surprise at first, then a slightly menacing glare. Not surprising, since he's friends with giant powerful alien robots from another planet.

Jack meanwhile wondered what he had to do, when suddenly, his visor began showing an alert of a sort on the screen when he looked through it.

"WARNING: Possible Threat Detected. EXE Blade Safety Mode switched to Armed."

He then hears a click and whirring of machinery powering up, and notices his EXE Blade handle seemingly unlocked. Jack pulls it out, and out comes a futuristic-styled sword. He never truly got to see what his weapon looked like.

Interestingly, unlike Geo's EXE Blade design, which was a rectangular, one-sided blade that only has a single glowing cutting edge, Jack's had a design more like a large longsword, curving at the point. The hilt was of a black metal and horizontally extruded at a straight angle, making it look like a European crusader's sword, when the hilts are shaped to give the shape of the Holy Cross. There was also a handguard that extended from one side of the hilt to the bottom of the grip. The pommel of the sword was also made of the same metal, and the grip was made of strong, grippy plastic. The rain-guard extended from the hilts on both flat sides in the center, the curves pointing out in the vertical direction of the blade. The blade itself was of a unique artistic shape. And now that Jack had thought about it, it looked very similar to Optimus's Star Saber, having the tip of the sword have a visible artistic cut along the middle, with one pointed half slightly longer than the other. The edges of the blade glowed a bright neon blue.
