HYDRA Research Base, Novi Grad, Sokovia; Walking up a set of stairs, where multiple computers, TVs, and soldiers stood, a man named Baron Strucker stepped in, ticked off, "Who gave the order to attack?" He asked.

"Herr, Strucker, it's the Avengers," a soldier told him and Strucker's jaw stiffened annoyed when another soldier approached him.

"They landed in the far woods, the perimeter guard panicked," he told the man.

Strucker then turned to Doctor List, who had walked up to him, "They have to be after the scepter," he whispered, almost shredding in fear, "That God, the woman. Lidianna. It belonged to her father," he then turned to a soldier, speaking normally, "Can we hold them?"

"They're the Avengers!" He said, as if it was the most absurd thing he'd heard.

Strucker stepped away from the soldier, staring out at the other soldiers, "Deploy the rest of the tanks," he ordered.

"Yes, sir."

"Concentrate fire on the weak ones. A hit can make them close ranks," Strucker said before he walked up to Doctor List again, whispering, "Everything we've accomplished...but we're on the verge of our greatest breakthrough."

"Then let's show them what we've accomplished," Doctor List said, glancing over at the man and woman from before, standing quietly in the corner — yet there were itching to go out.

The woman had very dark red hair while the man had striking frosty hair. The both of them held their hands in comfort of what was happening around them.

"Send out the twins..."

"It's too soon," Strucker whispered.

"It's what they signed up for," Doctor List whispered.

"My men can hold them," Strucker assured.

As Iron Man got closer to the building outside, soldiers continued to fire at him, which he easily dodged when JARVIS commed in,

"Sir, the city is taking fire."

"Well, we know Strucker's not going to worry about civilian casualties. Send in the Iron Legion," he said and almost immediately, multiple upon multiple empty Iron Man suits soared out into the town where terrified civilians were.

One suit landed in front of each quadrant, directing a group of people, who were very unhappy to see them, or the Avengers in their town and in their country;

"This quadrant is unsafe. Please back away. We are here to help."

"This quadrant is unsafe. Please back away. Please back away. We wish to avoid collateral damage and will inform you when this current conflict is resolved. We are here to help."

But the people of Sokovia were not happy with their presence. Angry, more likely.

As they chanted together, 'Avengers go home!', a man threw a glass bottle of something corrosive at the Iron Legion, smashing it in its head. The crowd cheered from the sensation as the bots continued to say, "We are here to help."

———

Inside the HYDRA base, Strucker intently faced his soldiers as they listened closely, "We will not yield. The Americans sent their circus freaks to test us. We will send them back in bags," he loudly told them, while walking over to Doctor List again, before yelling out, "No surrender!"

"No surrender!"

Strucker then turned to Doctor List, whispering, "I am going to surrender," he said and Doctor List stared at him oddly, "You will delete everything. If we give the Avengers the weapons, they may not look too far into what we've been—"
