Meanwhile, Emma continued to help civilians into the lifeboats as Iron Man soared the skies above her. She was just lucky he was too busy to notice she wasn't on the Helicarrier.
At that moment, a black convertible pulled up with Barton and Natasha in it, "I know what I need to do," Barton said as Natasha looked at him, "The dining room! If I knock out that east wall, it'll make a nice workspace for Laura, huh? Put up some baffling, she can't hear the kids running around, what do you think?"
"You guys always eat in the kitchen anyway," Natasha said.
"No one eats in a dining room," Barton said before they both heard the echoing roar in the distance of the Hulk, "We don't have a lot of time."
"So get your ass on a boat," Natasha said before they both quickly climbed out of the car. But before they went their separate ways, the redhead grabbed her friend's arm, "I need you to promise me you'll get Allie on that boat. No matter what happens, I need her safe."
Barton nodded, "I promise," he said.
"Thank you," she said before she ran off.
Behind a nearby building, Natasha found the Hulk destroying things, raging. She slowly came to a stop, watching him intently, "Hey there, big guy," she said as he looked at her, a slight frown, "I know I'm not your bestie, but Allie is off saving the world – or just this city," but the Hulk continued to pace around as if throwing a tantrum.
Allie and Pietro arrived at the lifeboats, the two of them quickly getting to work, helping civilians. Barton jumped in as well when he spotted Emma Stark, the daughter with possibly a death wish, "What the hell are you doing?" he asked, walking up to her and the blonde looked his way.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" she asked, grabbing a child and helping him onto the boat.
"I am not a babysitter," Barton said, "You should be on the Helicarrier – where it's safe."
"Honestly, would kinda think it's weird if you were babysitting a 14-year-old," Emma said and he gave her an annoyed look.
"Get in the boat," he said, grabbing her arm and dragging her into the lifeboat.
"You're not my dad," she said as Allie ran into the boat.
"No, because if your dad found out what you were doing, he would probably kill you...then kill me," Barton said and Emma rolled her eyes before he pushed her into a seat, "An almost 14-year-old shouldn't be playing hero."
"It's not like I was fighting anyone, I was just helping civilians onto a boat," Emma said.
Right as Barton opened his mouth to say something else, a woman cried out, pulling their attention towards her. She was on the ground, a blanket covering her with a gush of blood over her face, "Costel?" she cried out, "We were in the market – Costel?!"
Allie shared looks with Barton and Emma before she approached the woman, "Ko je Kostel? Vaš sin?" she asked as Emma eyed her confused. [Who is Costel? Your son?]
The woman nodded furiously.
Allie was quick to look back on the city, to find a little boy hiding behind a truck in fear. Not thinking twice, Allie ran off the boat, heading for the boy,
"Allie!" Barton yelled as Emma tensed up in her seat.
"Allie!" she yelled as well. But the girl wasn't listening.
"Damnit," Barton muttered under his breath before running after the stubborn girl.
Under the flying city, Iron Man lasered out a large hole into the metal before looking inside to find the vibranium core from underneath, "Thor, I'm gonna need you back in the church," he said in comms.
