Legend Pov -

A week later...

I'm sitting down at the dinner table eating with my family. everyone talking.

"Legend baby how you feelin today?" My mom softly asks me lightly touching my hand. I just shrugged

"I'm straight." I pull my hand back grabbing my drink. Truth is I'm just numb. Losing Dyemel felt like a part of me died wit him

"L.A you sure" Emani softly said I look at her before standing from my seat

"yea I'm good. I'm goin to bed, Goodnight everybody." I stated

"It's only 9"

"well I got school and practice tomorrow and I work after so I should go to sleep." Everyone looked at me surprised.

"you think you should be going to school son? youn think it's to soon." My dad asks looking at me with concern

"Naw I'm good" I walked to my room closing my door laying down smiling slightly when Apollo jumped on the bed and laid his head on my lap. I looked at old pictures of me and Melly from the last time we saw each other last summer when all went to work in Miami at my uncles shop. I miss him so much man. This shit ain't fair. I just want my brother back man. Laying in bed rubbing Pollo's head I slowly started getting tired feeling my eyes shut.

(The next day)

*beep beep beep beep*

I turned off my alarm and started getting ready for school not really caring I jus put on some black joggers, an essentials hoodie wit some black Jordan's. Walking down stairs seeing my family sitting at the table.

"hey baby you leaving already it's still pretty early?" I nodded

"Uh yea I got some things to handle before school starts, I'll see yall later." I walked out goin to my car

The thing is dealin wit Dyemel's death I forgot about tutoring with Vaiyah. She's prolly gonna think I stood her up and I'm wasting her time again. I know she be havin student counsel meetings in the gym before school so I'm going to talk to her. I heard talking in the gym so I know they there. Walking in the gym I lean against the wall watching her from a distance.

She look good as hell. She sees me and pauses what she doing, before rolling her eyes. Ion think an apology and flowers gone work this time. I sighed goin over to sit on the bleachers her friend the new kid came over, I forgot they name I think its Reese or Meech to be honest Ion care enough to remember it.

"she don't wanna see you, instead of ruining her morning how about you leave." I jus stare at them

"fuck out my face.. Ian inna mood to deal wit somebody lil ass kid." They just stood there

"Nigga move" I raised my voice standing up.

Reese looked over at Vaiyah who was looking at us, she jus shook her head going back to the meeting.

I sat on the bleachers thinking about what I should say until they was done.. She was talking to a group of females and I decided to go over by her, I walked up behind her and all the girls looked at me with big flirty smiles

"Heyy Legend" they all said. I jus nodded putting my hand on Vaiyah's back leaning down to her ear

"Aye shorty can we talk please?" I asked looking at her

"Ion have anything to say to you. I told you not to waste my time and you did exactly that. Waste my damn time." She sighed turning around looking at me. She paused staring at me tilting her head. I look away rubbing my jaw slipping my hand into my pocket
