Chapter 26

Vaiyah's POV

"I- I love you." he said as his eyes closed and his body went limp.

"baby.. please no. Legend baby wake up please. NO RAY LET ME GO I CAN'T LOSE HIM LET ME GO" I cried, fighting Ray as he pulled me away from Legend

"Vaiyah they gotta get here so they can get in to the hospital." Cartier said taking me into his arms as I cried

"Carti I can't lose him." I said looking at him and he nodded holding me tightly

"I know sis. He a fighter he gone be okay." I hope so. I never even got a chance to tell him I love him and that I'm pregnant

That was a month ago.. I know where did the time go. The day Legend was shot was one of the worse days any of us ever experienced. Not knowing if he would survive. For me I wasn't ready to lose the love of my life. I didn't get a chance to tell him I loved him or that he might be a father. It's been a month and he's been laying in a coma ever since he got out of surgery.

He lost of lost of blood. He was shot 5 times twice in the stomach. Once in the arm and leg. And another through his chest. The doctors said if the bullets didn't exit his body and just stayed he would've been dead before the ambulance arrived. The said he flatlined a few times in surgery but he pulled through. Legend still hasn't showed any signs of waking up. And we still don't know who did it. But we have a thought..

"Baby. It's been 28 days.. I don't know if you can hear me but the doctors say sometimes talking helps. And I really need someone to vent to. And I like to keep you updated on everyone. So Megan and Carti stopped fuckin around he's starting to push everyone away and lash out. Meg is sad cause you know yall was besties but she's pullin thru actually been dating this guy Zion he's cool he a spicy white boy. Emani still blames herself for you getting shot. We all think it was Draco. But we don't have any evidence. The police said they're checking it out but you know how they are.. Black man gets shot and they dismiss the case cause they say it's related to gang violence. So the boys said they were gonna handle it, I just hope they stay safe. Your parents are the same as always your dad distracting himself with work and you mom stays here with me most days we've grown closer. I told them bout the baby, I'm sorry i didn't tell you before this happened. I just love you so much. Ian know how. Your parents were very understanding about the situation tho. My mom visits you and my dad's slowly starting to come around so that's great. I actually told them that it could be yours or Ace's of course my dad freaked out again but he calmed down. Speaking of Ace I told him yesterday and he texted back a few hours ago. He said he'd be there if it was his. I'm not showing as much as I should be but the doctors said we're okay. I'm just one of the lucky ones. I still wear your shirts to cover my stomach at school so it won't be seen to much." I told him sighing gripping his hand

"I miss you so much baby. Please wake up soon. You can rest but not for to long okay... We need you." I said softly kissing his hand

I spent at least an hour talking to him. That's what I do sit here talking him and when it's just us I sing to him. Or read cause he loves reading but won't let nobody else know that but me. It's a daily routine wake up early to see him before school, leave school and spend the rest of my day by his bedside doing homework or just praying that he wakes up soon. I'm not really religious. I'm spiritual. I believe in God but I also believe in the universe and it's powers. But i need all the faith and power I can get right now. I spend some nights with him, everyone takes shifts spending the nights. Tonight is my night so once I get out of school, I pack an overnight bag and come back to the hospital.

After I finished talking to him Cartier walked in. "Hey sis I got it from here why don't you head to school." I frowned

"You not goin in today?" He shook his head, I nodded standing to my feet walking over to the head of Legend's bed
