In Between (A Navi Fanfic) [On Hold]

The first meeting

"You coming to my house today?", Amber asked while she jumped on my back. I hated it when she scared me like that. I turned to face her. "Sure. I would be home alone anyway. Meet at the school gate later?", I said.
I knew my mom would come home late and my sister slept over at her boyfriends. That's mostly how it goes. I'm alone. My whole life, which are 18 years, I never had a boyfriend.
"Okay. See you in a bit. I have class now. You should hurry to yours as well.", Amber said and ran of. After a lesson of boring history class I finally was released. As we said we met at the school gate. "My brother said he'd pick us up on the way. We can start walking.", Amber told me.
Not even five minutes later a car drove up behind us and honked the horn. "Jump in ladys!", Ken said through the open windows.
On our way to their house Ken asked us about school. "I don't want to talk about that topic. On a day without homework there is no need to talk about hell.", I said laughing. "Anything new you have to tell us?", Amber asked her brother.
"Oh. Did mom and dad tell you they are gone over the weekend? I was planing to do a pool party. How's that?", he said. Me and Aber looked at eachother. "Yeees! That sounds good. But.. don't overdo it. Just invite a few peeps. You know how it ended last time.", his sister tells him.
I knew what she was pointing at. He invited almost his whole school and half of ours. Their house was big... but not THAT big. At the end the police was called because the music was to loud and naked people were running arount in the garden next door.
"I learned my lesson. Mom told me the same thing. It's my last chance she said. Are you inviting more then Sara?", he asked at the end. "Nope. If we have to stay quiet only your almost sister is coming."
We always joked around how her family was more my family then my real family was to me. Not that I didn't loved them but they were gone so ovten that I spend more time with Ambers family. And I felt like Ken was my brother.
We arrived at their house. "Oh. Hey, Sara. I bought some pizza. Go grab some guys. Amber, Darling, I need to see your grandma for a while. Ken, you whatch over them, ok?", Ambers mom passed us, gave us all a kiss on the cheek and left. "Mom! We are no little kids anymore!", Amber yelled after her. Her mom just waved.
Ken was alredy of into the kitchen after he heared the word 'pizza'. We ran after him befor everything was gone. As we sat at the table we still talked about the party. "And who did you think of inviting?", I asked him. "Well of course the usual. Hongbin is coming, Hyuk, Leo, Sungjae and Minhyuk. Bean will bring his girlfriend and Leo is bringing Sulli and Ailee. So we have a bit room if more people will come.", he told us.
"Sounds like fun.", Amber said. "Let's start with the preperation tomorrow after mom and dad are gone.", she continued. I loved to hang around with Kens friends. All of them were a bit older them Amber and me and they all acted like big brothers. And Sulli and Ailee were always fun to be around. They were Leos little sisters around our age.

The day of the pool party

"Yes mom. Mhm... I got that. How many times do I have to say we are not babys anymore... ok. See you in two days.... Love you too.", Amber said on the phone. I was laying on her bed. We layered the livingroom with matrasses and were just done when she called. "What did she want?", I asked.
"Oh. Just checking if everything was fine. And told us if there is a problem to call. You know... the usual." Amber rolled her eyes. "We should get ready. They will be here soon.", she said as she got up.
We quickly changed into our bikinis and went outside. Hongbin and Melina where there already and just as we came out the house Leo and his sister arrived. "Hey guys. How are you?", I asked. We hugged eachother for a greeting. We were talking when suddenly two boys came running at me and Amber and pulled us into the pool. I was coughing water. "YAH! Hyuk, Sungjae. We told you to not do that.", I screamed but was already laughing. Whenever they had the cance to push us in they did it.
After some time everyone arrived and music was playing. Ken was grilling burgers and some of us were in the pool. Minhyuk and Sungjae both brought some more friends but it still was clam and fun. I just came back outside after I got a soda when I bumped into someone and spilled a bit of my drink on him. "Oh god. I am so sorry. I didn't see you there...", I looked up into a unfamiliar face.
"No worries. That could have happened with anyone. And I didn't pay attention eather. I'm Ravi by the way.", he said with a soothing deep voice. "Uhm.. Yes. I'm Sara. A friend of Kens sister.", I said and shook his hand he was holding out. "Ken is the one throwing the party right? I'm sorry. I don't know anyone then Minhyuk. He is my cousin.", he told me.
"Oh I see. You're visiting him?", I asked. I was kind of excited. He was gorgeous. And finally smeone who didn't see me as a little sister.
"Actually I just moved here. I'll attend the K- High soon.", he told me. "Really? I'm on that school as well. Can I ask how old you are?", I said surprised. Maybe he'll me ur new classmate. But the teachers didn't said anything about a new student. "I'm 18 years old.", he said.
"I think I bumped into the right person.", I said laughing. "Maybe we will be in the same class.", I explained him. "It would be great to know someone already.", he said happily.
"Hey. Ravi. Come here for a sec.", Minhyuk called him over. "See you around I guess.", he said with a wink. "I guess.", I just said.
