In Between (A Navi Fanfic) [On Hold]

"Left.", I said and jumped over a tree on the ground. I could hear Ravi right behind be. "Hold it!", he suddanly said and grabbed me. "Duck!", he commanded. Befor I could understand what happened, he pulled me down.
"What...?", I started but he just went "Shhht! Over there." He pointed to our left and I saw what he ment. The hutt was left from us and there was a group of girls coming near it from our right. But they didn't seem to head to the house.
"Gosh... Yuri are you sure we are right? We've been walking for hours and being hunted from mosquitos. I really hope this is over soon.", the girl, Krystal, leading said and slapped a moquito dead on her arm. "I think so.", a girl, probably Yuri, said next to her. Now all of them stopped and looked around. "Should we just go back and give up? I mean we are in the lead of the points anyway.", another girl said.
"Wait girls... what is that hutt over there? Didn't the last clue say something about four walls in a forest? Maybe they mean these hutts on the map?" I looked at Ravi. "Could we reach it befor them if we run?", I wispered. "Maybe but they are colser then we are and if we start running it's going to be obvious. Let's do this...", Ravi said and wispered into my ear. I grinned. I showed him the okay singh and got in my position.
Ravi stood up and walked over to the girls. "Finally I see someone.", he said playing out of breath. The girls jump because of the voice behind them and all turned around. "What are you doing here all alone?", Yuri asked. "Me and my group made a little rest and I fell asleep. They probably thought it is funny to leave me back without anything."
While Ravi was telling the story of his life, not leaving any dramatic details, I sneaked behind them to the hutt. I just reached the door when the wood beneath my feet creaked. "What was that?", I heard one of the girls say. They wanted to turn around but Ravi jumped. "You heared it too? Oh god!", he said all scared. "What?", a blond said, getting chills. "This sound woke me from my sleep.. and since then it followed me. Girls have you heard the story of the old man that once lived in this old hutt?", Ravi continued.
I hurried inside and grabbed the flag. Happy I looked throught the window and gave Ravi a sighn. "... And whenever someone came near his patio he would come to see who it is. But because he looked so old and ugly with his missing eye, left arm and a wooden leg he would try to kill everyone who saw him.", I heard Ravi continue his story. I giggled. The heck was going on in his head?! Well to play along I stomped my feet and with the best old man voice I could make I said "Who is out there?"
We still heard them screaming minutes after they were out of our view. And we were lying on the ground laughing so hard we cried. "That was the trashiest horror story I ever heard.", I said between laughing. "Well it worked, didn't it? But you played along well.", he said wiping his teares.
I stood up and helped Ravi. "I haven't had so much fun in a long time.", he said and smiled. Befor I knew what was happenig he gave me a peck on the lips. "And I still don't know if I'm gay but I definitely lik you.", Ravi added and blushed. My heart started to beat fast for a moment. He wanted to get going but I grabbed his hand to make him stop. "Wait. We need to talk about this.", I said.
He turned around and looked at me, scared. "Don't get me wrong. I kinda liked you from the beginning but you know I'm working here. This is a number one rule for me 'do not have sexual contact with the children.' If we get cought I will be fired and I don't know what...", I said sighing. I really would like to become closer with him. But that will be hard here.
"I understand.", he said smiled and started to walk. I felt terrible. I didn't want to hurt him. I mean I kissed him first to begin with. I ran after him. "Wait. Please.", I said. "No, it's fine. Really. What did I think. You are my guardian.", he said and gave me a big smile. And that hit me right in the heart. "And thank you for kissing me. I feel alot better now.", he added.
I was deep in thought and we remaind silent the walk back. When we finally made it, the others were waiting for us all excited that we won. With the point we got we now were on the same level as the girls who were still hating on Ravi for that stupid story. The rest of the evening I had a headache because of the situation with Ravi. I really liked him. And now we are stuck in this stupid situation.
At night we were having a camp fire with the whole camp. We were roasting marshmellows and telling storys. I was sitting on the side not in the mood to talk. I couldn't see Ravi through all the people and sighned. Suddanly I heared a noise. "Psst."
I looked around. I heared a giggle and a deep voice telling me to not make it to obvious by looking around. I should just come to the lake in ten minutes. What is he doing, I asked myself and smiled stupidly. I kinda got excited for a reason.
After I thought ten minutes were over I snuck away making my way to the lake. It was dark and I couldn't see him anywhere. "Ravi?", I wispered. I heared something in the water and turned around. He was swimming a bit further out. "What are you doing? Are you crazy?! Someone could come any minute... are you nacked?!", I suddanly realised. All he did was laugh. "Maybe...", he said.
And my mind went blank. It really did. The worries I had were gone and I walked to the water. I undressed to my boxers and went inside. It was chilly and I got goosebumps. But I just kept walking toards him and started to swim when my feet couldn't touch the ground anymore. He laughed again and pulled me to him. "I lied.", he said and I knew what he ment. He had boxers on. "Thank goodness you did.", I said laughing.
"You know we shouldn't been doing this...", I told him. "And why did you come?", he asked. I looked into his eyes and he smiled. I leand in and kissed him. I really didn't thought kissing while swimming is that hard but you still have to think about swimming and that was hard when you could only think about kissing. So we moved to where we could stand and our lips met again. We both got goosebumps as the light wind hit our wet bodies and I could feel the kiss didn't leave me unimpressed. Damn it..
When we broke the kiss to get air I said "And you are sure you just kissed once befor me?" A grin appeared on his lips. "Mhm."
Then he kissed me again. While our tongues explored eachothers mouths his hands slid down my back and my muscels stiffened. I didn't knew he would be so...demanding. I moved back slowly. "Hey... wow. We can take it easy okay? We will have time. Also there could be someone coming...", just as I said that we heard giggling and laughing coming closer. I panicked and wanted to run out of the water but Ravi just dived under. Yuri and Krystal came out of the woods.
"You girls should be going to your houses now. It's past eleven.", I said, worried how long Ravi could stay under water. "Is that you, N?", Krystal asked. "What are you doing there?", she continued asking. "Yes it's me and I'm just having a night swim like every night.", I said and dived under water. I found Ravis lips and gave him more air. When I came back up the girls giggled and were guessing if I was nacked or not.
"I would not want to answer that. Now leave or this sneaking out late will have consequenses. Both of them pounted but quickly left. I pulled Ravi up and he was gasping for air. "Sorry. I did my best to get rid of them." "Oh my god. That was so thrilling.", he said wiping my worries away. I laughed. "I don't really think thrilling is the right word... more like terrifying.", I said. "Come on. Let's get out of the water." I pulled him behind me and we quickly got dressed. "Can't we do it like this? Secretly?", he asked as we walked to his house. I sighed. "Why not. We can try. But please let's be really cearful!", I said. With a excited squeek, which I really would never thought of hearing from him, he gave me quick peck on the lips and ran inside.
And like this we always secretly met and spent time together. If that didn't happen he always found a oppurtunity to snatch me behind a tree or house or whatever for a quick passionate kiss. These were the most thrilling weeks I've ever had. On the last night of camp we threw a party and guess who won the game challange. Our house did. And as presents my boys got a cupon for any clothing brand they wanted.
The party was open end and it was already 2am. I sat on a couch and looked around for Ravi. I haven't seen him since they all got their prices. So I got up and walked around. I wanted to get something to drink when the smell of alcohol got to my nose. I sniffed on the bottles and realised someone mixed the coke and the water was definatly not water. These brats!
I called Ravi and someone picked up. "Why is a N calling my boyfriend?", the guy asked. "WHAT?!", I asked back. "Who is on the phone. Let me talk to Ravi!", I said shocked. "No he is sleeping. I'm his boyfriend, Eric. I came to surprise him and pick him up but he is totally wasted. Don't call again.", the Eric guy said and hung up.
I was totally shocked. Boyfriend?! What was going on?! When I tried to call him again the phone put me to voicemail straight ahead. I ran to his house but he was not there. The next morning I was busy packing and getting everything ready and because my next summer vacation job started this evening I needed to get back home.
Just forget him, I told myself after he never showed up at camp again. I wiped a damn tear away that escaped my eye. He's definitly not worth crying for after he lied to me so crule. How can a 15 year old boy crack my heart? With that I deleted his number and drove off home.
